The Top 10 Yahoo! players owned in less than 40 percent of leagues…

As we wind our way to end of the fantasy hockey season, there's still many championships left to be played.

Now is the time to make some smooth moves. For most leagues, the trade deadline has passed, so the only way to make your team better is to through free agent pickups.

Of course, most of the top players are chosen. But there are still some gems left out there. And some of them could be instrumental in your quest for your league's trophy.

Here are the top 10 players that are owned in less than 40 per cent of Yahoo pools.

November: 14:14

December: 17:02

January: 16:25

February: 19:01

March: 18:34

It's no coincidence that Stone started getting more ice time once Paul MacLean was fired, and Stone has responded with 32 points in 37 games since Dave Cameron became the new coach. If he's still on the waiver wire in your league, go and grab him now.

4. Eddie Lack

Lack is owned in 36 percent of Yahoo leagues, which is the lowest amount among all goalies that are their team's top netminder right now. By comparison, Cam Ward is owned in 41 percent of leagues, and Mike Smith in 54 percent. Ryan Miller should be out for at least the next couple of weeks, and backup Jacob Markstrom has proven he can't handle NHL shooters. With Canucks fighting for a playoff spot, and no other options, Lack is going to be busy for the next couple of weeks. And six of the Canucks next 10 games are against teams not in the playoffs. So he's becoming a must-own for the time-being.

3. Nick Bjugstad

Bjugstad is a weird player to have on this list because unlike every other player here, there's no real reason he should be unowned in less than 40 per cent of Yahoo leagues. He hasn't been injured, he hits, shoots plenty and has a chance to be a 30-goal scorer. He also has 12 power play points and is on a team fighting for a playoff spot. Yet he's owned in only 34 percent of pools. Maybe if he played in Toronto, more fantasy owners would own him. Regardless, he's out there, he's good, and he can help your team.

2. Tyler Myers

Last year, I wrote a top 10 column about guys who needed a change of scenery (amazingly, four of those 10 players were traded this season, three in the Myers deal). Myers ranked seventh on that list, but at the rate he's going, I should have had him number one. He's found great chemistry with Tobias Enstrom (and thereby bringing Enstrom's fantasy value back to where it should be). Since the trade, Myers has eight points in 10 games, a plus-three, eight pims and best of all, is shooting the puck a ton (23 shots). He's owned in 34 percent of Yahoo leagues, but should be getting scooped up at a pretty fast rate the way he's going.

1. Mike Fisher

Fisher has been one of the best players to own since he returned from injury on Nov. 27, yet he remains largely ignored. In basic Yahoo leagues that count goals, assists, plus/minus, power play points, penalty minutes and shots, Fisher has been the 16th best player in the league over the last three months. If penalty minutes are replaced with hits, he's the fourth best player in that timeframe. If you replace hits with pims and faceoffs won, he's the fifth best player. Despite all his success, he's owned in just 29 percent of Yahoo leagues. I believe part of the problem is that because he missed the first two months of the season, so his overall Yahoo rank is lower than guys who have played every game. Rookie mistake. If he's still there in your league, he's the best guy to grab for the stretch run.
