Top Budget Plays

Centers

Leo Komarov $2,800 –Values are not where they were on Thursday night but at least there are a few players that could potentially hit price per point value. It won't necessarily be pretty but combing here on the ten game night slate found very few centers that could have potential for an upward shift in lines or even point potential. It is a time to take what you can get and roll with it.

Wingers

Brett Connolly $2,700 –With a two assist debut for his new team, Connolly immediately jumped up some lists. It will be interesting to see where his ice time levels out at. Does he play 12-13 minutes a night with a possibly sheltered offensive role or does he even see a few shifts with the top six here and there? Connolly has top six potential and power play unit intrigue so watch how he is used on a game by game basis. That especially goes for Saturday night.

Defensemen

Patrick Wiercioch $3,000– There really is this weird sense that Wiercioch should get more opportunities. Now, will he get that chance? Look Dave Cameron and some of his decisions have driven people crazy. Now if Wiercioch does play with Erik Karlsson that will keep adding to his value. Basically this is kind of a fishing expedition to see if he can perform again. This could be a pretty good play on a night where maybe some Ottawa plays can atone for a tough Thursday.

Goalie

Richard Bachman $6,700 –At press time, Bachman may not start on Saturday so keep an eye out for news on this but Bachman seems to be able to get the most out of his starts unlike Ben Scrivens. Look, Los Angeles routed Edmonton 8-2 and beat them in a way that should be embarrassing in every other way. Keep an eye out for this or consider lesser options. Scout some back-ups just in case. That would be the best way to go. If Bachman does start, that will save you a good bit of money.
