Fantasy Impact: The Calgary Flames have signed winger Michael Frolik to a five-year contract worth $21.5 million.
The Flames get: a possession monster and a special teams asset. Both special teams. And Frolik has untapped offensive potential – he scored 21 goals as a rookie and again as a sophomore. So you’d think there’d be another gear. Last season he scored 19, but 18 of them were scored in the last 66 games. Find the right fit, and he’ll be a 25-goal scorer. At over $4 million per season, he’ll be given top-six ice time and linemates.
