Flyers Sign Backup Michal Neuvirth

2015-07-01
Fantasy Impact: The Philadelphia Flyers sign goalie Michal Neuvirth to a two-year deal worth $1.625 million per season.
The Flyers get: A solid backup goalie to Steve Mason. With goalies Cam Talbot, Martin Jones, Robin Lehner, and Eddie Lack finding new homes, Neuvirth was among the best goaltending options remaining on the market. Neuvirth has been a starter in the past, starting 48 games for the Capitals back in 2010-11. He served mainly as a backup last season split between the Sabres and the Islanders.
Fantasy Players this hurts, in order: Ray Emery, who is a UFA without a team (as of this writing) and won't be back with the Flyers.
