Dobber Sports

2015-10-06

Join Dobber's FREE hockey pool – and win up to $500 cash, one of three jerseys, a signed stick…and more!

This pool (presented by OfficePools) is free to join, but due to the tremendous awesomeness of the prizes – only one entry per person.

Deadline to enter your picks is Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 7pm ET. More details at the bottom, but first I'd like to get to the goods. The prizes. Because this is DobberHockey's 10th anniversary year, I pulled out all the stops:

1st – $500 from DraftKings – $250 is a check sent to you, ready to cash; and $250 will go into your DraftKings account. Now that's a lot of free game play!

2nd – Bernie Nicholls autographed hockey stick from ASM – The All-Sports Market app is perfect for the fantasy-sports-slash-stock-market enthusiast! The "NASDAQ of Sports" allows you to trade sports team shares like stocks…and earn dividends when your team wins. Go here now to see a demo and some screen shots, as well as the links to download to your phone. AllSportsMarket.com – The NASDAQ of Sports.  Come get in line for the launching of the World’s First Sports Stock Market (Performance Based) where every time your team wins, you receive a dividend payment. This isn’t FANTASY….this is REALITY. Check out their App to test your skills for free before the launch of the real money market.

3rd-5th – Free customized jersey from Cool Hockey. There are three of these available and if you finish third, fourth or fifth you're still getting a pretty kickass prize. Customize your hockey jersey with any size, any current NHL team and any player! And in the meantime, if you're in the market for a jersey (Christmas is coming! Hint hint), show some support to our sponsors by clicking this link and checking out their pricing. 6th-10th – $50 credit towards their DraftKings account. Here we are again with Draft Kings being generous! Five people will get $50 worth of credit in their DraftKings account (some restrictions

apply, such as the local laws where you reside). If you don't have an account, why not take advantage of my big DraftKings $10 Ultimate Fantasy Pack offer?

11th-15th – Free 2016 DobberHockey Ultimate Fantasy Pack. Speaking of Ultimate Fantasy Packs, the next five people in the standings won't have to worry about buying this next summer. They'll get it free! That's the Fantasy Guide, Draft List, Prospects Report, Midseason Guide, and Playoff Draft List. This sells for $30 right now, but if you haven't gotten a DraftKings account yet then you can pick up the Ultimate Fantasy Pack for $10 by taking advantage of this deal.

16th-20th – Free 2016 Fantasy Hockey Geek Draft Kit. The be all, end all of tools for anyone in fantasy leagues with multiple categories. I've used it four times now – first place three of them, and just missed first by six points the fourth time. Any kind of complications at all with your league in regards to weird roster setups or a mix and match of categories – the FHG Draft Kit makes sense of it for you.

More details

You pick a player from each of 44 boxes. Points are given by total points (goals and assists). Shootouts do not count. Goaltenders get 1 point for a W 2 points for a SO. Tiebreaker goes to most goals.

There will be three trade windows. So you're never out of it. There will be 3 trading periods where you can make 4 trades. Oct. 15-Nov. 15, Dec. 15-Jan. 15, Feb. 15 – Mar. 15. You must trade from within the same group. You will receive your original player's points up until the trade and then the new player takes over from there.

A huge thank you to OfficePools for hosting the pool this year. If you need a site to track your league this year, please consider our good friends at OP.

Since I bought your guide, I should know exactly who you picked in each box, unless you do not actually believe the numbers you put in that publication.

On a serious note, thank you for this contest and everything else you do as this is clearly the best website/guides for fantasy hockey purposes.

This is true, but there is one difference – because there are 3 trading periods, I went ahead and drafted players who will start hot (Nelson) or get hurt a lot (Letang). Factor that in
