Top 100 Keeper League Goalies – October
Dobber
2015-10-20
The Top 100 goaltenders to own in fantasy hockey keeper leagues. October edition.
In this month's edition, you'll notice there is some weird movement. Sergei Bobrovsky moves up? Devan Dubnyk rises? In fact, those two goalies (and other goalies such as Henrik Lundqvist) actually moved down this month in terms of their rating. But other goaltenders dropped even further/faster. So the net result – Bob and Dubie rise because they didn't "suck as much" as Tuukka Rask and Frederik Andersen. But it's not just the amount of suckitude here. It's also the threat of losing some starts. Bob and Dubie have virtually no threat to losing more than a start or two. Whereas Rask and Andersen could very well miss out on five to 10 more starts over the next couple of months due to capable backups. These rankings are for keeper leagues, but we can't ignore immediate returns…

Awesome, we're able to time-travel forward to Nov 20! What a rush!
Why can't Kuemper steal the job out from under Dubnyk? Didn't he emerge as the Wild's #1 goalie a couple of years ago pre-Dubnyk? Why is Dubnyk any different from Roloson, Fernandez, Backstrom, Harding and any other goaltender that was short-lived as the undisputed #1 goalie in that franchise's history? The Bob does have a Vezina, but how does the now 0-7 start for CBJ not ding his value in the least?
Can you actually find people who would trade their Elliott or their Luongo or their Jones for your Varlamov? I'd like to know who they are.
How is Quick considered a tier 2 goalie. Even when Rinne was strugglin you had him as a tier 1.
Dobbs, are you starting to regain your trust in lundqvist? You weren't as high on him entering this season as you were previous seasons. He seems to be the elite Lundy of old. Has he regained your faith? Top 3 elite group?
