    How does Marchand not move up like 10 spots, let alone drop 6?

      A difference of 16 spots is pretty much irrelevant. But his scoring pace has declined and Larkin/Doughty/Gio passed him.

          Rankings aren’t updated from the last 7 games, they’re updated from January 1st rankings: 7 points in 14 games (3 games missed). Declined.
          I own Marchand. I’d love nothing more than to bump him to No.1. No can do

    purcell 50 spots above burakovsky? drouin 100 spots above burakovsky? These types of head scratchers make the list tough to reference imo….

      Two responses to this:
      1) Value is always in motion. To question something 18 days after it was posted and 12 days before the fresh one is a little unfair. For example, Burakovsky has 8 points in 7 games AFTER this was posted.
      2) Players +/- 5.0 ratings points of each other are considered about equal value, but ‘value’ is a relative term relative to your need. If you’re rebuilding, you want Drouin. If you’re going for it, you want Burakovsky.

      The list is a good reference for points only, a balance of ‘now’ and ‘future’, and it’s best to reference it upon release (1st of each month). As the month moves forward it loses some luster on the hottest/coldest players.
