Alot of hatred towards Ghost. Is he being viewed as a Band-Aid? ^ ^

    • Dobber Sports 2016-02-04 at 09:57

Curious about your wording. He’s 27th in the world yet has played just 30 games. If you owned any defenseman in the Top 26 would you trade him straight up for Ghost? Don’t forget, I was pumping his tires in the preseason and insisted early that my readers scoop him up early. He is what readers would call ‘a Dobber Darling’

      • Matt Vandenbrand 2016-02-04 at 21:21

Personally I’d take Ghost over Rielly, Pietrangelo and Suter, but that’s just me. So he’s top 25 but I just enjoy nitpicking otherwise can’t find many faults with the rankings. Keep it up, this why I visit the site daily and have started to become active on the forums.

        • Dobber Sports 2016-02-04 at 22:59

Thanks Matt! I own ghost and truth be told I would not trade him for any of those three also. BUT, we have to put ourselves in the shoes of the other owner. If you own Alex Pietrangelo in a keeper league – Alex Pietrangelo. Ryan Suter. Or Morgan Rielly. You probably don’t trade them for the little-proven Ghost either. It’s tough to capture that in a ranking

Is there someone missing between Wideman and Pouliot?

  3. Joe Warren 2016-02-04 at 23:26

Ryan Murray? I haven’t watched a ton of CBJ games and this isn’t much but I would take him in my keeper league for sure.

    • Dobber Sports 2016-02-05 at 16:41

He’s 113th. More of a two-way guy with limited offensive ceiling and extreme injury-prone issues

  4. Erdely 2016-02-05 at 14:19

Surprised not to see Trevor Daley at all

  5. Kevin Chow 2016-02-05 at 20:09

I’m wondering where Mark Streit fits on this list. Don’t see him on the Top 300 list either.

    • Dobber Sports 2016-02-06 at 01:06

He’s 129th. The thing with Streit is that I don’t see him doing much in the next two months and I don’t see him doing much in future seasons…at this point he’s not worth much…

      • Kevin Chow 2016-02-06 at 11:24

Thank you – I was thinking the same. Looks like he has lost most of his opportunities to Ghost.

    #53 is missing?

  7. ravioli huvs 2016-02-21 at 20:25

just curious why giordano is so high? Hes getting pretty old

    • Dobber 2016-02-21 at 21:56

Probably because of his 29 points in his last 33 games. And 32 is not old

      • ravioli huvs 2016-02-21 at 23:41

Wow did not realize he has scored 29 points in 33 games. Hes definitely in the territory where guys start to fall off due to age. Something to keep in mind for keeper leagues

      • ravioli huvs 2016-02-21 at 23:44

Werent you just posting something the other day about selling high on Kopitar because hes aging?? Kopitar is not even 30

Keeping Karlsson Short Shifts – The Wilkes-Jarry Penguins

Elizabeth and Lewis are back to take listeners through a host of power play changes that are giving managers the opportunity to get exposure to great players off the waiver wire, including Philly, Jersey, and Tampa talk. They also cover Jarry’s AHL demotion, Cooley’s ascension to the top-line and powerplay, and injuries to Tavares and Hintz. The duo wrap up with some hot and cold streak deep dives, including discussion of the Red Wings crazy powerplay success in the last ten games, whether Erik Gustafsson is rosterable or an overperforming illusion, Fantilli’s continued success, Merilainen as Hamburglar 2.0, and whether Schenn’s success and Neighbours’ lack thereof are likely to continue.
