Ryan McDonagh is expected back and other injury updates you need to know about.

What a week for the Florida Panthers, losing Aleksander Barkov, Brandon Pirri, and Quinton Howden. Find out all the injury news and more in this week’s IR Report.

Anaheim Ducks: Chris Stewart– A fractured jaw will keep Stewart injured for four-to-eight weeks.

Anaheim Ducks: John Gibson– Gibson is considered day-to-day and might be able to start in tomorrow’s game.

Arizona Coyotes: Anders Lindback– Lindback will be out indefinitely with an Achilles’ tendon injury.

Boson Bruins: Patrice Bergeron– Bergeron was able to play in yesterday’s game against the Blue Jackets.

Boston Bruins: Adam McQuaid– McQuaid made his return to the lineup yesterday against Columbus.

Buffalo Sabres: Johan Larsson– Larsson was able to return to the ice yesterday after missing the past four games.

Calgary Flames: Karri Ramo– The Flames have placed Ramo on injured reserve with a knee injury. While Ramo is out of action, Jonas Hiller should see a lot more action. The Flames don’t have many options beyond Hiller so he should see the majority of the starts. However, things have not gone smoothly since the injury. In his past two starts, Hiller has given up four goals each game. Hiller should turn it around soon and could provide could value during Ramo’s absence.

Calgary Flames: Kris Russell– Russell is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Calgary Flames: David Jones– Jones is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Carolina Hurricanes: Cam Ward– Ward is day-to-day after suffering a leg injury while stopping a shot late in the second period.

Carolina Hurricanes: Justin Faulk– Faulk is close to returning but was not able to play in yesterday’s game against Winnipeg.

Chicago Blackhawks: Marian Hossa– Hossa is likely to miss two weeks with a leg injury.

Dallas Stars: Travis Moen– Moen has been placed on injured reserve because of a lower-body injury.

Detroit Red Wings: Jonathan Ericsson– Ericsson is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Florida Panthers: Aleksander Barkov– Barkov has been on the ice skating but it isn’t known if he’ll be able to play tomorrow.

Florida Panthers: Brandon Pirri– Pirri is expected to miss at least two weeks after sustaining an injury in the Panthers shootout victory over the Penguins.

Florida Panthers: Quinton Howden– Howden was also injured in the Panther’s win over Pittsburgh and is considered day-to-day.

Florida Panthers: Willie Mitchell– Mitchell’s injury is now considered an upper-body injury.

Los Angeles Kings: Marian Gaborik– Gaborik has been placed on injured reserve by the Kings. Look at that. Who would expect Gaborik getting injured? Gaborik is a certified band-aid boy and it was only a matter of time before we saw him get put on the injured reserve list. At least his injury won’t affect many poolies, considering he’s only owned in 33% of Yahoo leagues and only has 22 points on the season.

Los Angeles Kings: Jonathan Quick– Quick was able to start in yesterday’s contest against the Capitals after missing the previous three games with a lower-body injury.

Montreal Canadiens: David Desharnais– Deharnais will not be available for tonight’s game against the Avalanche after blocking a shot.

New Jersey Devils: Jon Merrill- Merrill is close to returning and is considered day-to-day.

New York Islanders: Calvin de Haan- A lower-body injury forced de Haan to leave Monday’s game early.

New York Rangers: Ryan McDonagh– McDonagh is ready to return today after sustaining a concussion in a game against the Flyers. While McDonagh’s return will tremendously help the Rangers as a team, Keith Yandle’s value takes a hit. In McDonagh’s absence, Yandle saw a huge increase in ice time and powerplay but now with his return, Yandle is at risk of seeing his ice time decrease again.

New York Rangers: Dan Boyle– Boyle is day-to-day with the flu.

Ottawa Senators: Mika Zibanejad– Zibanejad was able to play on a line with Curtis Lazar and Chris Neil last night.

Ottawa Senators: Mark Borowiecki– Borowiecki wasn’t able to play last night and is day-to-day.

Philadelphia Flyers: Michael Del Zotto– Del Zotto will be out indefinitely with an upper-body injury.

Philadelphia Flyers: Matt Read– Read will play Tuesday after hurting his knee on Sunday.

St. Louis Blues: Jake Allen– Even though Allen was skating in the morning skate, there is still no timetable for his return.

As long as Allen is out of action, Brian Elliott will keep providing great value. In his past 10 games, Elliot has had a save percentage above .950 in seven games and has posted six games.

Tampa Bay Lightning: Vladislav Namestnikov– Namestnikov was unable to play in yesterday’s game and is day-to-day.

Toronto Maple Leafs: Jared Cowen– Cowen has been placed on injured reserve with a hip injury.

Toronto Maple Leafs: Josh Leivo- The Maple Leafs have placed Leivo on injured reserve.

Vancouver Canucks: Brandon Sutter– Sutter will miss about six-to-eight weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a jaw fracture.

Vancouver Canucks: Alexander Edler– A fibula fracture will keep Edler out of action for the next six weeks.

Vancouver Canucks: Bo Horvat- Horvat was originally expected to miss Monday’s game with a foot injury but he was able to play and is healthy.

Washington Capitals: Brooks Orpik– After missing the past 40 games, Orpik was finally able to make his return in yesterday’s game against the Kings.

Winnipeg Jets: Mark Stuart– A broken hand will keep Stuart out for four-to-six weeks.

How do you decide who to report on? Because I noticed that there is no info on Malkin (or any of the injured Pens for that matter), and I’m guessing that he is owned in a few leagues. Even if there is no new news on his status, stating that is probably more beneficial than letting everyone know that the 5% owned Brooks Orpik is back from injury.

In my deep league, Orpik was picked up immediately. But point taken.
