Fantasy Hockey Podcast: how to set up an awesome fantasy hockey league. Plus discussion on Vermette, Kessel and more…

Last summer, Elan and Brian offered up a crash course on how to design an awesome fantasy hockey league. On this week's episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast, they follow up with their latest revelations in Fantasy Hockey Architecture, and announce the categories, rosters, and transactions specifics for Season 2 of the Keeping Karlsson Ultimate Patron Fantasy League (KKUPFL).

The guys offer a refresher the basics of league design, and then reflect on lessons learned from Season 1 of the KKUPFL. They also give you a window into their thought processes as they try to make the KKUPFL more ultimate than ever, including the categories and league settings that most piqued their interest as they ready the KKUPFL for the 2016-17 season.

Players discussed on this episode include Antoine Vermette, and previous incarnations of Roman Josi, Matt Martin, Phil Kessel, Matt Murray, James van Riemsdyk, Tyler Bozak, Mike Condon, Carey Price, and more.

Keeping Karlsson Short Shifts – The Wilkes-Jarry Penguins

Elizabeth and Lewis are back to take listeners through a host of power play changes that are giving managers the opportunity to get exposure to great players off the waiver wire, including Philly, Jersey, and Tampa talk. They also cover Jarry’s AHL demotion, Cooley’s ascension to the top-line and powerplay, and injuries to Tavares and Hintz. The duo wrap up with some hot and cold streak deep dives, including discussion of the Red Wings crazy powerplay success in the last ten games, whether Erik Gustafsson is rosterable or an overperforming illusion, Fantilli’s continued success, Merilainen as Hamburglar 2.0, and whether Schenn’s success and Neighbours’ lack thereof are likely to continue.
