Hot forwards

Tanner Pearson – Jeff Carter – Dustin Brown (Los Angeles)

After a very torrid start (six points in four games), Pearson slowed down considerably, but he is hot once again notching seven points in his last four games. On the season, he now has 19 goals and 14 assists for 33 points in 56 matches. He is already only three points shy of the career-best 36 points recorded last year. With six points in his last four games, Carter is not slowing down and has taken over the reign of the Kings with Anze Kopitar struggling this season. The former is currently on pace for 75 points for his second-best season total (he got 84 points in 2008-09). Right now, he has 29 goals and 24 goals for 53 points in 58 games for Los Angeles. With four points in his last four games, Brown, the team's former captain, is enjoying some sort of offensive resurrection. He is already up to nine goals and 18 assists for 27 points in 56 games, which is his usual production over a full season. In his last four games, he recorded 28, 27, 27 and 29 points respectively!

Josh Leivo – Nazem Kadri –Leo Komarov (Toronto)

The rookie Leivo is on fire since he was called up by the Leafs in early February, potting six points in his last four games. Last season, the youngster scored five goals in 12 games, including one power-play goal. He will most likely stick with the big club until the end of the year so he is worth rostering in deep fantasy leagues. Uncle Leo has four assists in his last four games for Toronto and he now sits at eight goals and 12 assists for 20 points in 58 games, but his real value lies in another category since he has an impressive 178 hits. Komarov is worth picking only if that stat is compiled, otherwise stay away from him. Finally, with 17 points in his last 15 games, Kadri is blossoming offensively this year. With 24 goals and 22 assists for 46 points (which is close to his career best) in 56 matches, Kadri will likely surpass the 60-point plateau for the first time in his career.

Jonathan Huberdeau – Aleksander Barkov – Jaromir Jagr (Florida)

Now that the Panthers are finally healthy, they are slowly climbing up the Eastern Conference standings thanks to the above line. Barkov is leading the way with nine goals and eight assists for 17 points in his last 15 games. Despite missing 15 games with an upper-body injury, he has already 14 goals and 21 assists for 35 points in 43 games, on pace for a respectable 55-point season. Since coming back from a 51-game absence because of an Achilles injury Huberdeau has four goals and four assists for eight points in only seven games. If the shifty winger is still available on the waiver wire, don't hesitate to grab him as he is a talented point producer for the surging Panthers. Playing with them is the ageless wonder. Jagr, who has two goals and three helpers for five points in his last six games, keeps finding his legendary name on the scoresheet. So far this season, he has recorded 11 goals and 23 assists for 34 points in 58 games already. This is pretty impressive for a player who turned 45 years old last week!

Dynamic duo

Torrey Krug – Adam McQuaid (Boston)

With six points in his last five contests, Krug has been dynamite for the inconsistent Bruins this season. Overall, the diminutive defenseman has potted five goals and 32 assists for 37 points in 59 games, including 16 points on the man advantage. He is currently on pace to get more than 50 points in a season for the first time in his career. While his partner has been solid recently (one goal and two assists in his last three games), McQuaid is not known for his offensive acumen. He has only seven points in 54 games and not a single power-play point in 2016-17. Even if he manages to get points in the next few games, stay away from him.

Cold as ice line

Nikolaj Ehlers – Bryan Little – Blake Wheeler (Winnipeg)

After a torrid start early this season, Ehlers has hit the wall and is now scoreless in his last eight games to go along with a minus-11 rating for the Jets. Still, on the season he has already recorded 19 goals and 28 assists for 47 points in 62 games. He should reach the 60-point plateau for the first time in his young career. As for the Band-Aid boy Little, he is also experiencing a dry spell, being without a point in his last five games. With 16 goals and 14 assists for 30 points in 39 games, he is on pace for his usual 60-point pace, but the problem is that he can't stay healthy to save his life as he's missed already 23 games this season and he had missed 25 games the year before. Wheeler, their linemate, is only cold with only two points in his last seven games. The captain is enjoying a solid season nonetheless with 17 goals and 31 assists for 48 points in 62 games, but with his latest slump, he will be hard-pressed to repeat last year's 78-point campaign.

Cold as ice duo

Jason Garrison – Anton Stralman (Toronto)

As recently as last year, Stralman was an offensive threat (34 points in 73 games), but this year he is experiencing a season-long drought with only two goals and 12 assists for 14 points in 49 games. Currently mired in a 12-game pointless streak, the Swede is not getting much power-play time and he has been split from Victor Hedman. He is not worth rostering even in the deepest leagues. His defensive partner is not doing much better so far this season with only one goal and six assists for seven points in 54 games. Garrison has become a defensive rearguard since joining Tampa Bay three years ago and he is not the offensive threat he used to be with the Canucks and the Panthers.
