Saturday’s NHL Picks: April 1, 2017

It's almost that time of year, one week left in the NHL Season and man has it been a good one. Last Saturday I was fortunate enough to go 5-1, and since then I've gone 11-4 this week leaving my Season record at 180-100 (64%). I'm pretty pleased that my Dobber record is sitting right where my season average is at and will be looking to finish off strong. On to the games!
Record 46 – 26 (64%)
With Tampa and Carolina hot on their heels, Boston will be looking to sweep the season series against Florida. The Panthers will be missing the offensive spark that Aleksander Barkov brings to the table, and with Tuukka Rask playing well right now, the Bruins should have all the advantage they need. Personally, I'm hoping they can do it without any production from Brad Marchand who has been killing me in my H2H Finals.
Pick: Boston – Home Team Victory – H
Confidence Level: 4/5
I'm sure you've heard enough about Detroit missing the playoffs by now, so I won't say too much on the subject, but wow what a Dynasty. If you would have told me at the start of the season that my fantasy fate may be decided by a Leafs game at the start of the season don't think I would have believed you, but here we are. I'm liking Toronto who have come a lot further than I expected, and will be pulling for Nazem Kadri and Jake Gardiner, and will be actively sending negative vibes towards Gustav Nyquist.
Pick: Toronto – Visitor Team Victory – V
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
Carey Price, Saturday Night… Not really much more to say on this one other than well done Victor Hedman!
Pick: Montreal – Visitor Team Victory – V
Confidence Level: 5/5
Two teams I must admit I haven't paid much attention to this year, and I'm probably paying for it in regards to the Hurricanes fantasy-wise. That said I'm using the good ol' gut in this one and am riding the hot hand in Carolina.
Pick: Carolina – Home Team Victory – H
Confidence Level: 3/.55
It seems like after I announced Ottawa as my dark horse pick for the Cup, they've decided they had other plans. Fortunately, Mark Stone is back and got on the board during the last outing. Winnipeg, winners of their last 3, is looking pretty sharp, but if Ottawa is ever going to make a stand and show some resiliency, now is the time. My least confident pick of the night, but I'm going with the Senators.
Pick: Ottawa – Visitor Team Victory – V
Confidence Level: 3/5
Is there anything Connor McDavid can't do? Hats off to him for pretty much locking up the scoring title, and congrats to all the Oilers fans out there for making it to the dance this year. Edmonton is looking mighty hungry right now and the Pacific North West Division Title would be just another cherry to add to the already impressive year they've had. I'm liking Edmonton at home.
Pick: Edmonton – Home Team Victory – H
Confidence Level: 4/5
