Saturday’s NHL Picks – October 22

Adam Mark

2017-10-21

I finally got some positive results last week going 4-2 on Saturday and 3-3 since. It’s by no means where I need to be, but it’s a step in the right direction. I’ve really been liking Tampa Bay and St. Louis and will probably continue to ride the wave for a week or two until the league has settled in and we have a better picture of where each team is really at. In the next two to three weeks, we’ll really start to see who the league leaders are going to be for the season, and who’ we can reliably bet against.

Moving into fantasy mode, how did you fantasy weeks go? Were you able to scoop any players worth mentioning out of the FA pool or off the waiver wire from GM’s getting cold feet? In my salary keeper league, which only allows a limited amount of moves, I decided to go all in and swapped Marc-Édouard Vlasic and Alexander Radulov for Michael Del Zotto and Claude Giroux. Seems like a no brainer most likely, but this particular league limits moves and I’ve essentially got my hands tied my back for the rest of the season should an injury occur on my roster. Risk vs Reward is what it all boils down to, and these were moves I felt I needed to make in order to compete this year (especially without having to shake up my core).

But alas, on to today’s picks:
