Below are the Top 50 prospect defensemen to own in fantasy hockey – November edition.

Yesterday I posted The Top 200 Fantasy Prospect Forwards. As always, players within +/-5.0 rating points of each other should be considered equal and at that point would depend on team need or personal taste.

Factors include wait time, upside, NHL certainty. Click on a player name to be taken to our fantasy profile written up by our team scouts

Please explain why you have Madison Bowey at 15 but no Christian Djoos in the top 50? Djoos is the better offensive dmen.

    • Dobber 2017-11-14 at 11:32

Sorry I guess I just don’t feel the same way

    • R McGinnis 2017-11-14 at 12:33

Yeah, agreed, he could be in there.

    • Dobber 2017-11-14 at 21:31

He’s 57th, and by the +/- rule in my disclosure that could be as high as 34th.
I don’t believe Djoos is better offensively – numbers at the age of 21 in the AHL were same as Bowey’s last year (at 21) and Bowey blew away the WHL.

57th is reasonable since there is not much difference between 15 and 57.
I think these two players are the same age since they are only 8 months apart and they have been teammates for their entire North American pro careers. Djoos offensive numbers in their 2nd AHL season were significantly better than Bowey’s. That is the reason I would have Djoos over Bowey in any ranking for a points only format.

Should be interesting to see how Clague’s game translates in the NHL. No prospect in the CHL has had a bigger offensive improvement this year.

No love for Adam Fox still?

    • Dobber 2017-11-14 at 21:27

No love. just 100% hate. Hate him!
      Kidding.
Fox sits 80th and by the rule of +/-5.0 (read disclosure at the top) that could be as high as 40th.

Keeping Karlsson Short Shifts – The Wilkes-Jarry Penguins

Elizabeth and Lewis are back to take listeners through a host of power play changes that are giving managers the opportunity to get exposure to great players off the waiver wire, including Philly, Jersey, and Tampa talk. They also cover Jarry’s AHL demotion, Cooley’s ascension to the top-line and powerplay, and injuries to Tavares and Hintz. The duo wrap up with some hot and cold streak deep dives, including discussion of the Red Wings crazy powerplay success in the last ten games, whether Erik Gustafsson is rosterable or an overperforming illusion, Fantilli’s continued success, Merilainen as Hamburglar 2.0, and whether Schenn’s success and Neighbours’ lack thereof are likely to continue.
