Saturday’s NHL Game Picks – March 10

Adam Mark

2018-03-10

After having my first below .500 Saturday (2-4), I had a pretty stellar week going 9-1. I'm looking to take that showing and finish off the week strong! Most of the matchups today are pretty lopsided, so I won't talk too much on the heavy favourites, but let's chat about the Winnipeg/Philadelphia game.

While the Flyers may be at home, given their recent history and the way the Jets have been playing, I'm going with Winnipeg here. Even with the firepower that Philly has in Claude Giroux, Jakub VoracekTravis KonecnySean Couturier, and Shayne Gostisbehere, Connor Hellebuyck is a beast. He's gone 6-2 in his last 8 with a shutout and an assist to boot. Not to mention the one man show that is Patrik Laine right now.

Moving on, last week I mentioned that I am going with the Predators to win the cup and this week has only cemented that stance. They look unstoppable and have all the tools necessary for a championship team. I'm pretty happy with how far the Preds have come since their inception. I've owned quite a few Preds in my day, from Tomas Vokoun, Martin Erat, and Kimmo Timonen to drafting Alexander Radulov when he was supposed to be the second coming… Hats off to Nashville for hanging in there.

Keeping Karlsson Short Shifts – The Wilkes-Jarry Penguins

Elizabeth and Lewis are back to take listeners through a host of power play changes that are giving managers the opportunity to get exposure to great players off the waiver wire, including Philly, Jersey, and Tampa talk.
