Fantasy Hockey Podcast: Kuch Coma

Elan Dubrofsky

2019-02-18

Good morning– and if we don't see you, good afternoon, good evening and good night! Rather than their usual Sunday evening schedule, Elan and Brian go straight from their morning coffee to breaking down the biggest fantasy news and impacts of the week on this edition of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast, which results in at least one take that has aged very poorly in the 12 hours between recording and releasing this episode.

Our first take of the show, however, is evergreen, as we look at a Shark swimming towards point-per-game status and some of the supporting cast he's working with. We also argue about whether a contract can ever be considered good even when all signs pointed to it being bad at the moment it was signed. We then talk about broken thumb recovery times, a pair of pretty boring trades unlikely to have a whole lot of fantasy impact, some Devils doing uncharacteristic things, some Avalanche players playing out some uncharacteristically cold strings, the newest lucky guy to be playing with the league's best scorer, a rising figure on the Philadelphia blueline, a surprising closeness between the value of two Hurricanes forwards, and a whole lot more.

Players discussed on this episode include Erik Karlsson, Kevin Labanc, Joe Thornton, Joonas Donskoi, Marc-Edouard Vlasic, Evander Kane, David Pastrnak, Danton Heinen, Jake DeBrusk, Tuukka Rask, Jaroslav Halak, Kevin Boyle, Ryan Miller, Justin Schultz, Patric Hornqvist, Nico Hischier, Marcus Johansson, Jesper Bratt, Kyle Palmieri, Cory Schneider, Devan Dubnyk, Corey Crawford, Collin Delia, Jeff Carter, Tyler Toffoli, Cam Talbot, Anthony Stolarz, Brian Elliott, Mikko Koskinen, Carter Hart, Ryan Spooner, Sam Gagner, Oscar Klefbom, Darnell Nurse, Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen, Gabriel Landeskog, Tyson Barrie, Nikita Kucherov, Yanni Gourde, Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat, J.T.
