At long last! Here are the top 50 prospects to own in your points-only dynasty leagues – summer edition!

Unlike the regular goalie list, for the prospects you should go by the ranking. But goalies rated within +/-5.0 rating points of each other are about equal and some offer more in one area and less in another so it is all about team needs.

Example – no, Korenar is not a better goaltender than Askarov. Not even close. He’s not half the goalie Askarov is. But his value is equal. Why? Because Askarov isn’t going to get your 25 win in a season for at least three or four years. Nashville’s net belongs to Juuse Saros. Whereas Korenar, as of today, is the backup goalie to… Carter Hutton? Oh goodness, he’ll take over as starter by November! So Korenar will get you wins immediately. Sure, it’s Arizona, so the wins will be hard to come by. But he’ll get you some. Maybe even 20. Immediately! Long term, there’s not much upside there. In fact, he’ll probably settle in as a backup down the road. But it’s that immediate value versus waiting four years on Askarov.

There are similar discussions to be had throughout this list, but you have to adjust based on your needs. If you need a guy right away, then push the NHL-ready goalies higher on this list. If you have room on the bench to wait for glory – then bump up Askarov, Wallstedt, Cossa and Alnefelt (probably the top four on this list in terms of talent, aside from Knight).
