2021-22 NHL Twitter Hashtags

A new season is upon us and that means new Twitter Hashtags for the NHL. Why, you ask? Well, because … I don’t know.

I mean, why get fancy? Why not stick to an easy-to-remember hashtag that fans can sink their teeth into, and never forget. They would be more widely-used, which in turn would create more social media trends that are hockey-related. And isn’t that what the NHL wants?

But no. Fancy it is. The league lets the teams get creative, and their fans (and journalists and columnists) have to memorize them. Most don’t bother, and instead use last year’s or the year prior’s hashtag. This results in any trending news getting split into a couple of different hashtags, thereby effectively reducing the impact.

But I digress.

To help you (and myself) use the right hashtag for the right team, we have gathered this year’s hashtags for you. So memorize them all – and then forget them in exactly one year.

#FlyTogether
#Yotes
#NHLBruins
#LetsGoBuffalo
#Flames
#LetsGoCanes
#Blackhawks
#GoAvsGo
#CBJ
#TexasHockey
#LGRW
#LetsGoOilers
#TimeToHunt
#GoKingsGo
#mnwild
#GoHabsGo
#Preds
#NJDevils
#Isles
#NYR
#GoSensGo
#BringItToBroad
#LetsGoPens
#SJSharks
#SeaKraken
#stlblues
#GoBolts
#LeafsForever
#Canucks
#VegasBorn
#ALLCAPS
#GoJetsGo

But hey, these will never be as bad as that 2019 monstrosity that the Rangers went with – #PlayLikeANewYorker . Today, the Rangers have the best hashtag of them all: just plain ol’ #NYR. The shorter the better!

And don’t forget to use #FantasyHockey when searching for fantasy hockey information – or Tweeting your own.
