Here's the latest injury news from across the NHL! If you're looking for information about a specific player and don't see their name in this article, there probably haven't been any significant updates about their progress since our last article. If you ever need injury updates for a specific player, shoot me a message on Twitter @BrennanDeSouza.

Josh MansonHasn't skated with the team since sustaining a finger injury on January 29th. He remains week-to-week and there's no concrete timetable for his return.

Victor OlofssonA non-COVID illness will keep Olofsson out of the lineup for Wednesday's clash with the Canadiens. He's expected to join the team in St. Louis ahead of Friday's game against the Blues.

Rasmus DahlinA lower-body injury kept the young defenseman out of Sunday's clash with Columbus. He was a full participant in Tuesday's practice and is expected to play against the Habs on Wednesday. Dahlin has quietly posted 10 points in his last 10 outings.

Tony DeAngeloLeft Monday's game against the Flyers with an upper-body injury. As I write this, DeAngelo's status for Friday's game against Columbus remains up in the air.

Jonathan ToewsHas been practicing with the team recently as he works his way back from a concussion – which has kept him out since January 26th. Recovering from head injury tends to be an unpredictable process so there's no concrete timetable for his return. The team will continue to monitor his status each day.

Kevin Lankinen – Is ready to return from a hand injury and is expected to start in one of Chicago's next two games – either against the Devils on Friday or the Blues on Sunday.

Elvis MerzlikinsLeft Saturday's practice with a lower-body injury. He's been labelled day-to-day but wasn't on the ice for Monday's practice. With Columbus' top three goalies injured, J-F Berube has started the team's last two games, posting solid numbers en route to wins over the Sabres and Leafs.

Joonas KorpisaloThe Blue Jackets netminder is day-to-day with a lower-body injury. He didn't practice on Monday so his status for Thursday's game against Florida is up in the air as I write this.

Dylan LarkinLeft Tuesday's practice after getting hurt near the end of the session. Fortunately, he was back with his usual linemates during Wednesday morning's skate and should play against Colorado on Wednesday night.

Jakub VranaRecently started taking controlled contact in practice. He's been skating without contact for the past few weeks, so this is certainly a step in the right direction.

Jesse PuljujarviOn February 18th, the Oilers announced that Puljujarvi would be out for roughly four weeks because of a lower-body injury.

Mats ZuccarelloMissed Tuesday's game against the Senators because of a minor upper-body injury. He's expected to play against the Leafs on Thursday. Zuccarello has been outstanding so far this year, posting 52 points through 41 appearances.

Matt DumbaOn February 14th we learned that Dumba would miss a few weeks because of a lower-body injury. It doesn't sound like he travelled with his teammates for their current road trip, so he definitely won't play against the Leafs on Thursday or the Flames on Saturday.

Mark BorowieckiNashville's defenseman is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Andreas JohnssonSustained a lower-body injury during warmups on February 13th. The Devils haven't had any game scheduled over the past week, so Johnsson has had some extra time to rest and recover. He has been practicing recently, so I expect he'll be available for Thursday's clash with the Penguins.

Jesper BrattOn February 12th, the Devils announced that their leading scorer was day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Bratt has been practicing recently and should return to the lineup on Thursday against the Penguins.

Dougie HamiltonThe Devils defenseman will make his return on Thursday against Pittsburgh. A broken jaw kept Hamilton sidelined since January 2nd. Through 30 appearances this season, he has 20 points – seven of which were tallied on the power play.

Josh NorrisSkated with his teammates on Tuesday but wasn't taking any contact. Expect more of the same on Wednesday.  Once Norris is cleared for contact, we can start anticipating a return. A shoulder injury has kept him sidelined for almost a month now.

Carter HartMissed the Flyers' last two games because of an eye infection, because swelling from the infection had interfered with his vision. Hart skated on Tuesday morning and the team hopes he'll be available for Saturday's clash with the Capitals.

Joel Farabee – On February 18th, coach Mike Yeo said that Farabee could return to the lineup after Tuesday's game against the Blues. Farabee has been practicing recently and could be an option against Washington on Saturday afternoon. A shoulder injury has kept him sidelined for the past month.

Kevin Hayes – Has been skating recently and feeling better. As we discussed last week, there's a 50% chance Hayes returns this season as the team is currently evaluating whether he needs another surgery. It sounds like that decision will be made around March 1st. Hayes underwent a procedure on January 18th which came with a recovery timeline of three to four weeks.

Ryan Ellis – Has been skating on his own recently but there haven't been any significant updates about his status. The team is hoping to avoid surgery for Ellis' lower-body injury, but it remains an option at this point. A decision on treatment will likely be made in the next couple of weeks.

Adin Hill – Was labelled day-to-day with a lower-body injury on January 26th and has been sidelined ever since. On February 16th, we learned that Hill was given a few days off because his lower-body injury hadn't improved much. He recently started a new medication to remedy the injury and it seems to be working well. Hill was back on the ice Tuesday and should be considered day-to-day until we hear otherwise.

Erik KarlssonOn January 24th, the Sharks defenseman underwent surgery on his forearm and was meant to be re-evaluated in mid-March. Karlsson has been skating recently and is quickly regaining strength in his forearm. As a result of his accelerated progress, he'll be re-evaluated ahead of schedule and could return sooner than originally expected.

Jake MuzzinIs in concussion protocol after hitting his head on the ice during Monday's game against the Habs. It sounds like he was feeling much better on Tuesday, but there's obviously no timetable for his return. Muzzin had recently returned from a concussion which kept him sidelined for almost a month. Expect the team to be even more cautious with his return this time around.

Nolan PatrickThere haven't been any substantial updates on his status since he left last Wednesday's game against Colorado after taking a hit to the head. Recovering from a head injury is an unpredictable process, so it's tough to say exactly when he'll be back. I expect the Golden Knights will be extra cautious with Patrick's recovery as he has a history of concussions and was diagnosed with a migraine disorder a few years ago.

Robin LehnerSkated before Saturday's practice but there haven't been any other significant updates about his status recently. Last we heard, Lehner was being evaluated for an upper-body injury, which isn't related to the one he had surgery on during the offseason.

Zach Whitecloud – Was a full participant in practice on Monday. A broken foot has kept him sidelined since January 29th, but it sounds like he's closing in on a return soon.

Alec MartinezWasn't skating late last week but returned to the ice on Monday. The Golden Knights defenseman has been sidelined for the past three months because of a facial laceration. As we discussed last week, the injury situation is very complicated as the team's been thinking he's close to a return for a while now. Martinez has been a full participant in practices over the last few weeks so it's not clear what's holding him back at this point.

Vitek Vanecek – Was a full participant in Monday's practice but his status for Thursday's game in New York hasn't been determined as I write this. Vanecek has been sidelined with an upper-body injury for the past three weeks. In that span, Ilya Samsonov is 3-2-0 with a .905 save percentage and 3.24 GAA. He hasn't really taken the opportunity to run away with the starting job in Washington.

T.J. Oshie – Was a full participant in Monday's practice but his status for Thursday's clash with the Rangers remains up in the air as I write this. An upper-body injury has kept Oshie sidelined for over five weeks now.

Justin Schultz – The Capitals defenseman has been day-to-day with an upper-body injury for about a week now. He was a full participant in Monday's practice so I'm optimistic he'll be available for Thursday's game against the Rangers.

Anthony ManthaOn Monday, Mantha practiced with his teammates for the first time since undergoing shoulder surgery in early November. He's still in the early stages of rehab and wasn't taking any contact, but this is certainly a step in the right direction.

Nikolaj EhlersHas been skating on his own recently but it doesn't sound like he's going to get on the ice with his teammates any time soon. He's been sidelined with a knee injury for the past month.

Cole Perfetti – Is dealing with an upper-body injury that's a little more serious than your typical 'day-to-day' ailment.

Andrew CoppHas been day-to-day with an upper-body injury for about a week now. As I write this, his status for Wednesday's game against the Stars hasn't been determined.
