Wednesday’s NHL Prop Bets: Shooters Shoot

The NHL regular season is finally back! After a busy offseason of trades and signings, the rosters are finally set and all 32 NHL teams now have their rosters solidified and their skates sharpened. This means only one thing: NHL betting is back!

Below you will find NHL player prop bets for two of the top players in the league, both based around them shooting the puck.

Nathan MacKinnon Over 4.5 Shots (+100)

Coming off of a magical post season run which ended with the Colorado Avalanche hoisting the Stanley Cup, MacKinnon will be getting things going against an atrocious Chicago Blackhawks team. The Hawks are clearly tanking this season, which is proven evident by their shallow depth chart, and have the underachieving Petr Mrazek in between the pipes – which will only increase MacKinnon's confidence to shoot the puck when it's on his stick. Look for Nate Dogg to continue his high-offensive game and pepper the Blackhawks with shots after the Avs raise their 2022 Stanley Cup banner.

Leon Draisaitl Over 3.5 Shots (+120)

Draisaitl is a world-class player with an exceptional knack for finding the back of the net. Scoring 55 goals last season (good for second-overall in the league for goals scored), Draisaitl will be lining up against a Vancouver Canucks team that simply does not play defense well. With that in mind, Draisaitl will get every opportunity to help his team win the game and, as a result, will be looking to shoot the puck.

Prop Bet Wrap Up

Both players listed will be playing on the favored teams in tonight's games, which is promising when you look at their matchups. The best players in the league always tend to start on time and tonight is no exception. The old saying "shooters shoot" could not be any more relevant for tonight's picks and I cannot wait to see how things shake out after Day 2 in the NHL's return (to North America).
