Thursday Props: Robertson and Hughes Firing At Will; Kaprizov’s Power Play Prowess

It is Thursday once again, so let's find some winning NHL props. We have 11 games on the NHL schedule tonight, which is plenty when trying to find some winning prop bets. I've taken my time to look over every matchup tonight, and I think I've found a few props that can win us some money. The research is done, the picks are in, and now it's time to watch some hockey!

Below, I highlight three player props that stood out to me for tonight's games. Our record this season stands at (10 – 5) after going (1 – 2) last Thursday, hopefully, we can sweep the board tonight!

Jason Robertson – Over 3.5 Shots (-143)

Jason Robertson is off to a fantastic start. He currently leads the NHL in goals with 19, he is second in the league in points with 36, and I expect him to continue his hot play tonight. He is currently averaging 4.22 shots per game, and while playing at home he is averaging 4.7 shots per game. He has recorded four or more shots in 11 of his last 15 games, and 6 of his last 7 home games. Robertson and the Dallas Stars are hosting the Anaheim Ducks tonight, which looks fantastic for this bet considering the Ducks allow an average of 37.2 shots against per game, the most in the NHL. With how well Robertson has been producing, especially at home, and how bad the Ducks are, I expect Robertson to have a big night.

Jack Hughes – Over 3.5 Shots (-139)

Jack Hughes and the New Jersey Devils will be hoping to keep their incredible play going when they host the Nashville Predators tonight. Hughes is averaging 4.35 shots per game and 6.91 shot attempts per game this season, which proves to me that Hughes doesn't shy away from throwing the puck at the net. Hughes has gone four straight games recording four or more shots, and eight of his last 10. In 12 home games this season Hughes has recorded four or more shots in nine of them. Nashville is a very average team when it comes to shot suppression, allowing an average of 32.6 shots against per game, right in the middle of the pack in the NHL. With how well Hughes has been playing this season, and the fact that he is winning this bet 75% of the time on home ice, I am very confident he will get us the win tonight.

Kirill Kaprizov – Over 0.5 Power Play Points (-115)

Kaprizov and the Minnesota Wild are hosting the Edmonton Oilers tonight, who will be playing their second game in as many nights. The Oilers do not have a good penalty kill, 72.8%, the sixth worst in the NHL. They also allow the second most power play goals per game, averaging 1.09 against per game. On the road they are allowing the third most power play goals against per game, averaging 1.18 against per game. Kaprizov is the king of the Wild's power play. The Wild have scored 16 power play goals this season and Kaprizov has 13 power play points, meaning they have only scored three power play goals without Kaprizov getting a point. The Wild have recorded 12 power play goals in 12 home games this season, and Kaprizov has recorded 10 points on those 12 goals. With how much the Wilds power play relies on Kaprizov, and how bad the Oilers are on the penalty kill, I expect Kaprizov to win us this bet easily.
