DFS Thursday: A Wild Rebound; Ottawa’s Stuetzle/Tkachuk Duo; Value In San Jose

The frenzy that's been a trade deadline WEEK isn't likely to be done a day early – I've been following the Dobber hockey authors for their takes on the fantasy implications, and the forum for the hysteria (LOL). Certainly, the Rangers, Devils and Maple Leafs have made big splashes into the pool of available talent, but sometimes it's those underwhelming depth pieces that win you Cups…the last three years proving my point. Tanner Jeannot and Michael Eyssimont? Dmitry Orlov and Garnet Hathaway? Ivan Barbashev and Teddy Blueger? There's a hidden playoff gem somewhere.
For Thursday's lineup, I'm again limited to Yahoo, as DraftKings isn't supported in Chile. I'll have my more "normal" look for Saturday's game props, and for next week.
I'm going to spend my money on wings tonight, so I've chosen two bounce-back centers for value. After 10 points in 10 games, Joel Eriksson Ek ($20) has cooled somewhat – I see him as a good Wild stack with Kirill Kaprizov ($35) and Marc-Andre Fleury ($27). I've picked Brady Tkachuk ($28) and Tim Stuetzle ($25) to torment the B2B Rangers and Jaroslav Halak, and Cam Talbot ($23)to backstop the upset. For defensemen, I chose two new Leafs to show their value against Calgary – Erik Gustafsson ($17), and Luke Schenn ($12). Left with just $14, I was surprised to see quality centerman Tomas Hertl there, playing at home against the shaky St. Louis Blues and their inconsistent Jordan Binnington.
Good luck to all, and keep up with those trades 'til 3:00 PM Friday.
