Here's the latest injury news from across the NHL! If you're looking for information about a specific player and don't see their name in this article, there probably haven't been any significant updates about their progress since our last article. If you ever need injury updates for a specific player, shoot me a message on Twitter @BrennanDeSouza.

Taylor HallAlthough he wasn't taking any contact, Hall skated with the team on Tuesday morning.  While this is an encouraging step forward in his return from a lower-body injury, coach Jim Montgomery says Hall is still a ways away from returning. Montgomery has said before that the Bruins are hoping to get Hall back in time for the playoffs. That means he has over three weeks to ramp up the intensity of his skates and get in a few full-contact practices, which seems like plenty of time considering he's already resumed skating.

Eric ComrieWas on the ice for Tuesday's morning skate, wearing a non-contact jersey. Reports indicate Comrie is progressing well and could be available soon. He's been out week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

Antti RaantaFelt good while skating by himself on Monday, but there's no concrete timetable for his return. The 33-year-old goaltendertweaked something in his groin during a game against the Canadiens on March 7th.

Petr MrazekIt sounds like Mrazek has recovered from his latestgroin injury and will be available against the Capitals on Thursday.

Evan RodriguesIs in concussion protocol due to a hit he took during Monday's game against Chicago. With Rodrigues sidelined, it looks like Denis Malgin is skating beside Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen on Colorado's top line. Currently rostered in just 6% of Yahoo Leagues, Malgin could be a solid add with the Avalanche playing three games on light nights this week.

Cale MakarTweaked something in his lower body during Saturday's game against Detroit, so the team played it safe and kept him out of Monday's clash with Chicago. Makar was labelled day-to-day, but he didn't participate in Tuesday's practice, so it seems unlikely he plays against Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

Pavel FrancouzAlthough he's taken part in some light skating, most of Francouz's recent rehab has been off the ice, which suggests he isn't close to a return.

Josh MansonScheduled to skate at some point this week or early next week.On March 7th, coach Jared Bednar said he was hoping to have Manson back by the end of the month, but that seems highly unlikely at this point.Manson has been sidelined since the beginning of March – dealing with something related to the lower-body injury that kept him out for two and a half months earlier in the season.

Gabriel LandeskogAlthough he was on the ice for Monday's morning skate, he didn't participate much. It seems like the main purpose was for Landeskog to be around his teammates again, so I wouldn't take this as a big step forward in his recovery. According to coach Jared Bednar, Landeskog isn't close to a return and will continue with his solo skates for the next little while. Colorado's captain has been on the shelf since undergoing knee surgery in October. He also had knee surgery in March 2022, but we recently learned that the procedure he underwent in October was a less serious arthroscopic procedure. Unfortunately, recovery has taken much longer than originally expected.

Tyler SeguinHad his leg cut by a skate last Thursday against the Sabres. The cut had to be stitched up, but he's since had those stitches removed and was able to practice with the team recently. If all goes well, Seguin could return to action this week.

Mason MarchmentA knee injury will keep the Stars forward sidelined for another two to three weeks.

Ben ChiarotThe Red Wings defenseman is out week-to-week with an upper-body injury. It sounds like he's been playing through the injury for a while.

Anthony DuclairMissed Tuesday's game against Philadelphia due to an illness. It sounds like he was feeling under the weather on Tuesday afternoon but still felt well enough to play. However, it seems he got worse closer to game time, which is why he ended up sitting out.

Sam BennettDidn't play against the Flyers on Tuesday and has been labelled day-to-day with what's believed to be a lower-body injury.

Kevin FialaIt sounds like Fiala skated on his own recently. He's been day-to-day with a lower-body injury since March 9th. The Kings don't play again until Saturday; hopefully the extra time off brings Fiala closer to a return.

Sean DurziHas been skating recently and it sounds like he's progressing well. An upper-body injury has kept Durzi out of the lineup since March 6th.

Jared SpurgeonMissed Tuesday's dance with the Devils due to an illness. As I write this, his status for Thursday's game against the Flyers remains up in the air.

Kirill KaprizovAs of March 17th, Kaprizov hadn't resumed skating. He's still on track to meet the original recovery timeline, which means he won't be back for another week or two. Matt Boldy has stepped up in Kaprizov's absence, tallying 10 points in six games since Kaprizov went down.

Josh AndersonInjured his leg during Tuesday's game against Tampa and will be evaluated at some point on Wednesday. Anderson won't travel to Boston, so he definitely won't be available against the Bruins on Thursday.

Kaiden GuhleMontreal's rookie defenseman will be sidelined for the rest of the season due to a high ankle sprain.

Roman JosiNashville's captain is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Filip Forsberg As of March 18th, Forsberg was still day-to-day. He's held that status for over five weeks now. Although Forsberg skated without taking contact in recent weeks, I haven't seen any reports of him participating in a full-contact practice, so I don't think his return is imminent. Since Forsberg's head (helmet) seemed to make contact with the ice when he got injured on February 11th, it's likely he's dealing with a concussion or something like it. That would explain why the recovery process has been so unpredictable thus far.

Mackenzie BlackwoodHas been skating with the team pretty consistently in recent weeks, so I imagine he's getting close to a return. Akira Schmid has been playing well in Blackwood's absence but may get sent down once Blackwood is ready to come back.

Brock NelsonLeft Tuesday's game against Toronto with an undisclosed injury. Unfortunately, there was no update on his status after the game.

Mathew BarzalAs of March 20th, Barzal had not resumed skating. The team remains hopeful he'll be able to return before the end of the regular season, but there's no concrete timetable for his return. He's been out with a lower-body injury since February 18th.

Cam Talbot – Reports suggest Talbot may be back on the ice at some point this week, to see where he's at in his recovery from a mid-body muscle strain. He still has another week left in the original timeline, but with the Sens falling out of the playoff race, there's a bit more urgency to get Talbot back in the lineup.

Sean CouturierAlthough there wasn't much contact during Friday's morning skate, it was encouraging to see Couturier on the ice in a regular jersey rather than a non-contact one. Given how hard he's been working recently, I'm starting to think he'll be able to play a few games before the season ends. Couturier has been out of the lineup since having back revision surgery in late October. Although it doesn't seem logical to bring him back and risk re-injury when the Flyers aren't in the playoff race, there may be some metal benefits for Couturier to get in a few games now if he's truly at 100%.

Travis KonecnyWas on the ice for Friday's morning skate but wasn't taking any contact. Although he hopes to play again this season, there's no timetable for Konecny's return. According to coach John Tortorella, Konecny is further away from a return than Couturier is.

Jeff PetryThe Penguins defenseman is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Although he's with the team in Colorado, he didn't participate in Tuesday's practice, so don't expect him to face the Avalanche on Wednesday night. Petry has been able to skate by himself, so hopefully he won't be out for too long.

Marcus PetterssonPittsburgh's blueliner is week-to-week with a lower-body injury. He was recently placed on long-term injured reserve, which comes with a mandatory absence of 10 games and 24 days.Based on my math, Pettersson wouldn't be eligible to return until Pittsburgh's last game of the season on April 13th.

Philipp GrubauerWasn't available against the Stars on Tuesday as he was getting over an illness – the same one that caused him to leave Saturday's game against Edmonton.

Ilya SamsonovAfter practicing with the team on Wednesday, Samsonov will return home to be with his wife as she prepares to give birth. He'll miss the rest of the Leafs'road trip, which includes a stop in Florida on Thursday, Carolina on Saturday, and Nashville on Sunday.

Filip HronekSkated with his new teammates in Vancouver on Monday. Officially, he's still day-to-day with an upper-body injury, but coach Rick Tocchet said there's a good chance Hronek is ready for Thursday's game against the Sharks.

Keegan KolesarWas on the ice for Tuesday's morning skate but wasn't taking any contact. Although officially, he's day-to-day with an upper-body injury, there's hope he'll be able to return at some point this week.

Laurent Brossoit – Has been practicing recently and is currently with the team as it travels through Western Canada. With Logan Thompson now healthy, it's unlikely Brossoit sees much action down the stretch since he's behind both Thompson and Jonathan Quick on Vegas' goaltending depth chart.

Adin HillAs of Tuesday, Hill hadn't resumed skating. With Vegas' other netminders getting healthy and Hill unlikely to return any time soon, I wouldn't expect him to see much action before the season ends.

Nicolas Roy – Has been skating recently. Since Roy is travelling through Western Canada with the team, he may be an option against Calgary on Thursday or Edmonton on Saturday.

Trevor van RiemsdykIs not with the team as his wife is due to give birth to their first child.

Darcy KuemperThe Capitals netminder is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. He was on the ice for Monday's practice and Tuesday's morning skate, which suggests the injury isn't too severe and he won't be out for too long.

John Carlson On Monday, Carlson participated in his first full-contact practice since suffering a fractured skull and severed artery from a slap shot to the face on December 23rd. It sounds like he's getting close to a return and there's optimism he could be back at some point this week.
