Thursday Player Props: Point Buoying Bolts; Look For Fox To Produce; O’Reilly Rolling In First Round

It is Thursday once again, so let's find some winning NHL props. We have three games on the schedule tonight, two of which are elimination games, giving us some interesting options when looking for winners. I've taken my time to carefully look over every matchup tonight, and I think I've found a few props that can win us some money. The research is done, the picks are in, and now it's time to watch some hockey!

Below, I highlight three player props that stood out to me for tonight's games. My record during the playoffs stands at (2-1) after last Thursday, hopefully, we can sweep the board tonight!

Brayden Point – Over 2.5 Shots (-125)

With the Tampa Bay Lightning on the brink of elimination, they are going to need a big game from Point to keep their season alive, and I think he will perform tonight. So far this series Point is leading the Lightning with 17 shots, for an average of 4.35 shots per game. He is also averaging 5.75 shot attempts per game, showing me that he isn't going to pass up too many opportunities to shoot the puck.  Also, he has recorded at least three shots in every game so far, meaning he's won this exact bet every game this series. The fact that this is a must-win for the Lightning and that Point has won this bet every game so far makes this an easy bet for me.

Adam Fox – Over 0.5 Points (-143)

The New York Rangers dominated the first two games of the series versus the New Jersey Devils, and then looked absolutely terrible the next two. With the series tied at two games apiece, If the Rangers expect to find their game again, they are going to need a big performance from Fox in Game 5 tonight. Fox recorded six points in the first two games of the series and followed that up with a goose egg in the next two games. Fox is on the verge of going three straight games without a point, something that only happened once during a full 82-game regular season, I can't see Fox letting that happen again at the most important moment of the season. A big reason for Fox going pointless the last two games is because the Rangers didn't score a powerplay goal in either game, a powerplay that Fox quarterbacks. The Rangers are averaging 7:05 minutes of powerplay time per game during the playoffs, the second most; don't expect the Rangers to go three straight games without a power-play goal if they get that much power-play time tonight. Considering how consistent Fox usually is, and how much powerplay time the Rangers get, I am very confident that Fox will get at least one point tonight.

Ryan O'Reilly – Over 0.5 Points (-132)

Ryan O'Reilly is an absolute weapon in the playoffs, and he is proving it once again this year. In his four games versus the Lightning this series he has recorded seven points, tied for second on the Leafs, trailing only Mitch Marner. Also, he has recorded a point in every game of the series so far, including two multipoint games. O'Reilly has racked up 33 points over his last 29 playoff games, averaging 1.14 points per game, not bad for the former Conn Smythe winner. Considering O'Reilly is one of the best playoff performers in the NHL, and that he has won this bet every game these playoffs, look for him to find the scoresheet once again tonight.
