Thursday Props: Aho Can Produce Against New Jersey; Hintz A Shooting Star

It is Thursday once again, so let's find some winning NHL props. There are a pair of game fives on the schedule tonight, the New Jersey Devils vs Carolina Hurricanes and the Seattle Kraken vs Dallas Stars, both have seen some big blowouts. I've taken my time to carefully look over both matchups tonight, and I think I've found a few props that can win us some money. The research is done, the picks are in, and now it's time to watch some hockey!

Below, I highlight three player props that stood out to me for tonight's games. My record during the playoffs stands at an awful (3-6) after another bad day last Thursday, hopefully, we can get back on track and sweep the board tonight!

Sebastian Aho – Over 0.5 Points (-150)

Sebastian Aho has been having a good postseason, which the Carolina Hurricanes desperately needed to happen if they wanted to have any success. So far Aho has recorded 10 points in 10 games, he's not blowing the doors off offensively, but he is doing more than enough to help the Hurricanes win. In his 10 games so far during the playoffs, Aho has recorded at least one point in eight of them. Aho failed to record a point in his last game and considering he has recorded a point in 80% of his playoff games this year, I can't imagine him being held off the scoresheet in back-to-back games. Also, Aho has recorded at least one point in every home game the Hurricanes have played this postseason, which bodes well for us with the Hurricanes on home ice tonight. With Aho's consistency and how much the Hurricanes lean on him to produce offense, I expect Aho to find the scoresheet at least once tonight.

Roope Hintz – Over 2.5 Shots (-125)

Roope Hintz has been leading the way offensively for the Dallas Stars during the playoffs, as we can see with his team-leading 15 points in 10 games. But he's not only racking up points, he's also producing a bunch of shots as well.  In 10 playoff games so far, Hintz has recorded 30 shots, averaging three shots a game looks good to me. Over his last five games, he is averaging 3.80 shots per game and has recorded three or more shots in four of those games. Also, in his five home games so far, he has recorded 18 shots, averaging 3.60 per game, which has led to him recording at least three shots in four of five home games. This is a bonus for us considering the Dallas Stars are on home ice tonight. With how many shots Hintz has been taking recently, and how he has been producing at home, look for Hintz to continue to rack up the shots tonight.

Jared McCann – Over 2.5 Shots (-123)

Jared McCann has had a tough go of it so far this postseason, playing only five games due to a concussion, and he only has one assist in those five games. For a player who scored 40 goals and 70 points during the regular season that's not good enough, but I think McCann is poised for a big game. In his first two games of the playoffs, McCann only recorded a total of two shots, but in his last three games, he has recorded 11 total shots, recording at least three shots in each of those three games. McCann only played a little over thirteen minutes last game as the Seattle Kraken eased him back in for his first game back, and he still recorded three shots. The game before that he played a little under four minutes, as he got injured early in that game, and he still managed to rack up four shots, that's crazy considering he didn't even play four minutes! In his last three games, before being injured and after coming back, you're starting to see McCann playing as he did in the regular season, and I expect that to continue tonight.
