Fantasy Take: Duclair Sent to Sharks

The Florida Panthers have traded winger Anthony Duclair to the San Jose Sharks for Steven Lorentz.
Duclair missed most of 2022-23 with an Achilles injury, playing in just 20 games. He was able to participate in the Panthers' long playoff run, averaging about 0.5 PTS/GP between the regular season and the playoffs. He scored a career-high 31 goals and 58 points in the season prior, helping the Panthers to a Presidents' Trophy. He has one year left on his contract at $3 million.
Duclair is moving to a team where he won't have many obstacles in the way of first-line minutes and top power-play time. Having said that, he also won't have a distributor with the ability of Aleksander Barkov either. From his standpoint, this should mainly be considered a lateral move. That being said, he's been either feast or famine throughout his career, so expectations shouldn't exceed his career-best numbers.
According to Frank Seravalli, this move sounds like a cap dump for the Panthers in order to make something else happen, so we won't break down the move from Florida's side… yet.
