Top 100 Roto Rankings: August 2024

Ian Gooding

2024-08-15

The August Roto Rankings have been updated based on reader feedback and early pre-draft rankings. A much larger re-ranking will take place in September, as Bangers Fantasy Hockey will return with its pre-draft rankings.

The stat categories for the Roto Rankings are as follows: Goals, Assists, Special Teams Points, Shots on Goal, Penalty Minutes, Hits, and Blocked Shots. These rankings are different from keeper rankings in that they don't extend beyond the current season. These rankings could even be used to determine relative trade value between two or more players listed.

For goalie rankings, please check out the Top 100 Keeper League Goaltender rankings for relative goalie values.

Are there any players that you believe are ranked too high or too low? Did we miss anyone in the top 100, or is there a player there that probably shouldn't be? Let us know in the comments below, and we will consider your feedback when compiling next month's rankings.

Timo Meier at 95 is crazy low. I know he had an off year, and I can see the concern in being a small fish in a big pond affecting his output. But he showed he can produce after Toffoli left, and there’s a very real scenario where he’s a multi-cat monster again.

Let’s say he has doesn’t regress upward, and has the exact same season as last year. Take a look at his average stats next to Hintz, and then justify Hintz being nearly 40 spots higher. Hintz is just an example: you could make a case of Meier being better then several forwards around and above hintz based on last years cats alone.
