2024-25 NHL X.com (Twitter) Hashtags

Here we go again. A new NHL season has begun, and what does that mean? Our fantasy hockey teams are back in action! And also, for some reason, there are new NHL hashtags to memorize for X.com.

I don’t get it either.

Why not keep – forever – an easy-to-remember hashtag that fans will never forget? Keep them always. They would be more widely-used, which in turn would create more social media trends that are hockey-related. We can run through the history of that hashtag and find things easier. And isn’t all of that what the NHL wants?

Apparently not. The league lets the teams get creative, and their fans (and journalists and columnists) have to memorize them. Most don’t bother, and instead use last year’s or the year prior’s hashtag. This results in any trending news getting split into several different hashtags, thereby effectively reducing the impact.

The craziest ones for this year are probably from Carolina (#RaiseUp) and San Jose (#TheFutureIsTeal). Or maybe Buffalo (#SabreHood?). Remember the Rangers a few years ago with #PlayLikeANewYorker? Oh man…

To help you (and myself) use the correct hashtag for the proper team, we have gathered this year’s hashtags for you. So memorize them all – and then forget them in exactly one year.
