Good day DFS'ers! So, Tuesday I spoke the good word of the Flyers, got busy at work, never filled out a roster. These things happened but I'm going to count that as a spirit win earned. Hope everyone had some success, let's get back after it tonight!
Some slates I look at and can find maybe a sneaky good spot or find that a team may be going overlooked. Today, friends, is not one of those days. We live and die with the chalk, full speed ahead.

Philadelphia Flyers
So it's very hard to beat a team twice in a row, but that team in question is Pittsburgh. I believe in you tonight, Flyers! Good news for us as well as that the lines, at least at the moment, look the same as they did on Tuesday and that's rare for a Philadelphia team that shakes their lines up like a snow globe. I remember there was a time in maybe 2019 or so when Edmonton did the same thing but then went to consistent groupings…and caught fire when they did that. Regardless, this be one of the few chances that we're going to have to be on the Flyers and for my money I'll look at the second line wingers with Travis Konecny ($6,800) and Andrei Kuzemenko ($6,700). Dynamic pricing on DK is just swell, isn't it? Moving up to the first line is fine in my book as well as I want to have some exposure here. I'm at the point where Pittsburgh won't catch my Chicago Blackhawks as far as worst record, but there's a real roadmap to where Pittsburgh ends up with the number one or two pick if they keep playing like they are. My worry with Philly, as always with them, is that they go down 1-0 in the first six minutes and all of a sudden, we're looking at a line of Owen Tippet – Noah Cates – Scott Hartnell in the 2010 playoffs, come over the boards. Even with that in mind, I'm on the Flyers here tonight if I can make the salaries work.
Winnipeg Jets
I'm a soft 90% sure that somewhere back in my DFS article archives I wrote up a Winnipeg/Nashville game where I was all over the Jets going up against a Predators team that for whatever reason is always a popular play. I cannot say that I've watched a ton of Nashville recently but all the quotes out of the room there are concerning. I'm on Winnipeg yet again, even given their price to full stack the top line. Kyle Connor is $7,500, Mark Scheifele sits at $7K, and Gabriel Vilardi is up to $6,400. I'm okay in this situation with maybe subbing Scheifele out for Vladislav Namestnikov at $4,400, or even moving the pieces around to make this a manageable stack tonight. If Nashville continues the trend of four goals on 24 shots, I would imagine that the top line would have to be part of that contribution in a real way, either at even strength or the power play.
Vegas Golden Knights
Oh, now you want to get vocal in the room, Seth Jones? We have a double whammy on our hands tonight, folks. Playing Vegas at home is always a solid play and going against the Hawks when they're on the road is an even better one. Honestly, the way that I'm building tonight is any filler that I need, I'm just finding a cheap Vegas forward to throw in. I may build three lineups with one of them going full on expensive Vegas and then two that are 3F, 2F with a correlated D, and then a one off, with the cheap pieces coming from the Vegas depth lines or defensemen. If there's any hesitancy, it's that the Hawks are at least competitive recently in the first period or so in each game before the sloppy line changes and missed assignments begin to show themselves. If this game ends up 2-1, hey oh well, but I don't see why it couldn't be more believable that this ends up 4-1 in favor of the Knights.
Defensemen
Zach Werenski is on the top of the board…but not top of the Norris favorite odds. That is criminal. Either way, like always if you find yourself with the cash to spare or are building around expensive defensemen then he makes for a fine play. Noah Dobson is back in the lineup for the Islanders tonight and jumps right back in at $6,400. That might be a little pricey for me as he's the one player this season that I just seem to feel is always like $200 more than I want to spend up for. Going down the list, I always tend to gravitate to Jake Walman, but I worry spending up to $5,500 with PIMs being an issue with him over the past week. Colton Parayko again has a good price at $4,600 and I also like Gustav Forsling at that same price. Mason Lohrei for Boston at $4K is someone I have interest in and think we're not far off from him running top power play for that club full-time. I really like Ramus Ristolainen for any Philadelphia stack or as a solo at $3,700 and for the same price we have the block-bot Mario Ferraro who is seemingly always in play for me.
Goalies
It’s going to be very difficult tonight to find someone that's in play under $7,500 in a decent matchup. For the expensive goaltenders, my ceiling would be Andrei Vasilevskiy at $8,100. He fits just perfect with the rest of my roster that I'll have to fine in the $3,300 range because we're breaking the bank in net. Either Utah goaltender is all right at $7,800, or even on the other side of that matchup taking either Minnesota netminder at $7,600. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen let in two goals early the other day against the Ducks but should see volume against this Carolina team tonight.
Good luck tonight everybody!
