We did it, my degenerate hockey-betting friends. The final Saturday of NHL action is here and we're ready to go out with a bang. At first glance today's board is actually a little dicey, with some lackluster matchups sprinkled across the NHL's schedule. However, we've found a few juicy spots to exploit and stack a little bit of loot ahead of what is sure to be a sensational few weeks of intense hockey. Our top-three selections and favorite side bets are outlined below.
For the last time this season: Good luck and let's get this paper.

Gold Selection
Utah Hockey Club @ Dallas Stars – Pick: Stars ML (-152)
First and foremost, we're keeping things real short, sweet, and to the point for our last picks article of the year, and it starts with this tilt between two teams that are playing for completely different reasons. Don't get it twisted, the Dallas Stars are legit and are once again built for the rigors of the meat grinder that is springtime hockey.
Sure, the season series between Utah and Dallas is actually pretty close, as the Stars squeaked out one-goal victories in all three meetings, but wins are wins and Utah is seriously outmatched in this spot against Pete DeBoer's group who also flaunts wins in their last 10 meetings against the soon-to-be-Mammoth. The Stars still have an outside shot at taking the division, and with the postseason looming, expect Dallas to flex its muscle as a true Stanley Cup threat that's extremely balanced up front and anchored by one of the best in the business in Jake Oettinger. Don't be shy about hammering this one. Stars. Moneyline. Lock it in.
Silver Selection
Minnesota Wild @ Vancouver Canucks – Pick: Kirill Kaprizov 4+ Shots On Goal (+130)
There's still an outside shot the Minnesota Wild somehow manage to fall out of the playoff picture, but with Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek back in the fold in Minny, this Wild team has a completely different potency to its offensive attack, making them a difficult out in the first round should they punch their ticket. That all flows through Kaprizov, who, before going down with injury, was the Hart Trophy favorite tearing up the league with a lethal release and knack for creating high-danger scoring chances with ease. With that in mind this is a great spot for Kaprizov to continue to shake off the injury rust and do what he does best: fire the puck with lethal accuracy.
Even though the Canucks have been a team that's cooked our bets a number of times over the 2024-25 campaign, we're not backing off our stance of this group not being nearly good enough to make any postseason noise, and that means a big bounce-back performance from Kaprizov and the Wild after failing to clinch a spot in their loss to the Calgary Flames just last night.
The Russian sniper is rocking solid production during his regular-season career against Vancouver to the tune of nine goals, eight assists, and 46 shots in 10 games – averaging out to 4.6 shots on net per game. Enough said. Kaprizov fires it early and often and cashes our silver selection of the evening.
Bronze Selection
Montreal Canadiens @ Toronto Maple Leafs – Pick: William Nylander Anytime Goal (+150)
We can't end the season without yet another Maple Leafs betting angle to cover, and this time around we're going with a player prop. William Nylander hasn't exactly been on fire of late, with only two goals in his last five games, but the fact remains that he is now entrenched in the elite echelon of NHL shooters as only he and Leon Draisaitl have hit the 40-goal mark in three consecutive seasons. That's elite company for Willy Styles and he's going to really need to elevate his game come playoffs if Toronto hopes to shake the moniker as spring choke artists.
That's just it, though. Willy does elevate his game in the clutch and he was the main reason Toronto pushed last year's first-round matchup against the Boston Bruins to seven games. He's a big-game player and it doesn't get any bigger than a Saturday showdown against a bitter Original Six rival with a shot at the division crown on the line. Nylander owns 18 career regular-season goals against Montreal in his career in 35 games including three game winners and he pads those solid numbers tonight.
Side Bets
Montreal Canadiens @ Toronto Maple Leafs – Pick: Leafs ML (-220)
St. Louis Blues @ Seattle Kraken – Pick: Blues ML (-134)
Minnesota Wild @ Vancouver Canucks – Pick: Wild ML (-110)
