In fantasy hockey, winning typically boils down to how well one manages the waiver wire. Drafting matters no doubt, but maximizing games played and optimizing weekly adds are the most reliable ways to gain an edge throughout the season.

This week, 12 teams have four-game schedules, and several widely available players enter the week running hot. With this in mind, here are the Top 10 players who can help you dominate your matchup(s) in Week 10.

10.   Aatu Raty, C, Vancouver Canucks

Aatu Raty has opened December on a heater with five points (two goals, three assists) in three games so far. Selected 52nd overall in 2021, Raty pulled through in Vancouver's much-needed 4-2 win over Minnesota this past Saturday, thriving in an elevated role with Elias Pettersson out of the lineup. Centering Kiefer Sherwood and Evander Kane, Raty and co. combined for an impressive three goals. Although his value depends on Pettersson's health status, Raty is an intriguing short‑term add in deeper leagues if Pettey's injury lingers any longer.

9.   Ian Cole, D, Utah Mammoth

Ian Cole is among the most consistent shot blockers in the NHL, having led the league in blocks last season (211) while piling up 67 blocks in 30 games thus far. Last week, Cole went on a multi-cat tear, recording two points, two penalty minutes, five hits, 13 blocks, and a league‑leading +8 rating. With four light-day games on the horizon for Utah this week, Ian Cole is a tremendous streaming option for managers chasing peripherals.

8.   Matt Savoie, RW, Edmonton Oilers

As (I think) fantasy hockey pundits like to say, one player's pain is another player's pleasure. That's certainly the case for Matt Savoie, who's taken full advantage of Jack Roslovic's injury by stepping into Edmonton's top six and producing three goals over his past two games. Skating with Vasily Podkolzin and Leon Draisaitl, the trio was dominant this past Saturday in a 6-2 drubbing of the Winnipeg Jets. With Roslovic out for the foreseeable future, Savoie is an intriguing streaming option in deeper leagues for the time being.

7.   Jared McCann, C/LW, Seattle Kraken

While injuries have limited Jared McCann to just nine games this season, he remains a proven finisher with 91 goals over the past three years. Despite limited action, McCann has scored four times while maintaining a top-six role and a spot on Seattle's first powerplay unit. Having dropped five straight, the Kraken need a spark, and with four games this week, there's no better time for Jared McCann to "Krak" the code.

6.   Ben Kindel, C, Pittsburgh Penguins

After tearing up the WHL last season with 99 points in 65 games, Ben Kindel has made an immediate impact at the NHL level with ten points (seven goals, three assists) in 23 games. Selected 11th overall over the summer, Kindel has maintained a coveted spot on Pittsburgh's lethal top powerplay unit. With seven points with the man advantage already, Kindel's role on the league's top-ranked powerplay does not appear to be in jeopardy so long as it keeps rolling. Assuming he remains on PP1, Ben Kindel should be rostered in most fantasy formats, both this week and beyond.

5.   Jackson Blake, RW, Carolina Hurricanes

Jackson Blake ended a six‑game point drought emphatically this past Saturday with three points (two goals, one assist) in Carolina's 6-3 win over the lowly Nashville Predators. Blake is skating alongside Logan Stankoven and Nikolaj Ehlers while also playing on the team's top powerplay unit. With 18 points (eight goals, ten assists) in 27 games, Blake is on pace to shatter last season's 34-point output and push himself into perennial fantasy relevance. With four games on the docket this week, make no mistake and add Jackson Blake.

4.   Jason Zucker, LW, Buffalo Sabres

It's been challenging for Jason Zucker to stay healthy this season, but he's produced whenever he's been in the lineup, posting 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) in 20 games. Along with his offensive capabilities, Zucker is an underrated source of hits (many forget he recorded a whopping 198 hits in 2022-23). With Buffalo set to play four games this week, Zucker is a strong streaming option, so long as you're comfortable with the injury risk.

3.   Brandon Bussi, G, Carolina Hurricanes

Brandon Bussi has enjoyed a Cinderella start to his NHL career, going 8-1-0 as an undrafted rookie with the Canes so far. Carolina is somewhat of an enigma: a legitimate Cup contender sporting a league-worst powerplay and carrying three goalies on its roster. Despite Pyotr Kochetkov's return to the lineup last night, he has struggled to stay healthy this season, and Freddy Andersen appears to have lost a step. With Carolina scheduled for four games this week, the door is open for Bussi to continue his steady play with another solid start (or two). Despite the chaos in Carolina's crease, don't be surprised to see Bussi get busier as the season moves along.

2.   Josh Doan, LW/RW, Buffalo Sabres

It may be slightly premature to call Josh Doan the best hockey player in his immediate family, but he's beginning to make a case with 19 points (eight goals, 11 assists) in 28 games. Buffalo acquired Doaner in an offseason deal with Utah, and while the Sabres' front office has made its share of questionable moves over the years, this one looks sharp so far thanks to Doan's strong play. With four games on the schedule this week and dual-wing eligibility, Josh Doan is one of the most intriguing streaming options potentially available.

1.   Josh Norris, C, Buffalo Sabres

Sticking with Buffalo, Josh Norris is likely the highest-risk, highest-reward streamer available on your waiver wire. Over the years, Norris has earned a reputation as both a certified Band-Aid Boy and a certified sniper, consistently missing time while also producing goals whenever he's in the lineup. After missing 24 games following yet another injury, Norris has racked up five points (two goals, three assists) in three outings since his return, three of which have come on the powerplay. Norris is locked into a first-line, top-unit role and has the pedigree to be a long-term difference maker if he can stay healthy (but that's a big if).
