Two rounds of the Stanley Cup Playoffs have already been completed and there are twelve disappointed teams who were sent home early. With this comes several players whose play was a direct result of their team’s shortcomings. For fantasy playoff managers and fans of the franchises, these players were especially disappointing. Let's take a look at the top 10 fantasy playoff busts who have already been eliminated from Stanley Cup contention. (Goaltenders were not considered in this ranking.)

10. Ben Kindel, C, Pittsburgh Penguins (6 GP 0G 0A 0PTS +/- -4)

Ben Kindel burst onto the scene this season as an 18-year-old coming out of his draft year and making the jump straight into the NHL. He was a big part of the Penguins playoff push as he solidified the team’s third line center position. The rookie ran out of gas in the postseason as he was held pointless and struggled in his first taste of postseason action. But ultimately the experience will be valuable moving forward for the youngster.

9. Anze Kopitar, C, Los Angeles Kings (4GP 0G 0A PTS +/- -5)

Anze Kopitar unfortunately didn't have the swan song that he'd hoped for as he heads into retirement. He's been a consistent playoff producer throughout his career but the Kings were no match for Colorado as they were swept relatively easily by the Avalanche. We won't be too hard on Kopitar though as expectations were low for the 38-year-old and his team heading into the postseason.

8. Darren Raddysh, D, Tampa Bay Lightning (7GP 1G 1A 2PTS +/- 1)

Darren Raddysh burst onto the scene for the Lightning this season posting over 70 points from the blue line. In a contract year, he may have priced himself out of Tampa Bay. His shot is lethal and made him one of the best powerplay quarterbacks in the NHL this season. With Victor Hedman absent due to personal reasons, Raddysh was relied upon heavily versus Montreal. However, his offense dropped off once the games got tighter in the playoffs.

7. Thomas Harley, D, Dallas Stars (6GP 0G 0A 0PTS +/- -6)

There were large expectations for the Dallas Stars heading into this postseason even though they found themselves in a loaded Central Division. Ultimately, they fell way short of their goal and one of the major reasons was the poor play of Thomas Harley. The young defender has solidified himself as one of the best emerging defencemen in the NHL. This makes his postseason play all the more disappointing as he's heavily relied on for the Stars on the back end.

6. Zach Hyman, LW, Edmonton Oilers (6GP 2G 0A 2PTS +/- -6)

Hyman missed a large part of the season with injury and only featured in 58 games for Edmonton. Still, a player who previously has hit the 50-goal mark and plays on a line with Connor McDavid has high expectations. Hyman has delivered in past playoff appearances but struggled offensively this postseason. Edmonton lacks depth and they need more from a player like Hyman if they want to return to the cup finals in the near future.

5. JJ Peterka, LW, Utah Mammoth (6GP 0G 0A 0PTS +/- -3)

Utah acquired Peterka in one of the biggest moves of the offseason through a trade with Buffalo. He didn't have the same success offensively as he did with the Sabres, but a solid playoff performance can put to rest any doubts. However, if anything, Peterka raised more doubts as he was held pointless in the team’s first-round matchup with the Vegas Golden Knights. What seemed like a slam-dunk trade for the Mammoth has now left some cause for concern.

4 Tim Stutzle, C, Ottawa Senators (4GP 0G 1A 1PTS +/- -4)

Maybe no player was more snakebitten in these playoffs than Tim Stutzle. He was all over the ice but couldn't buy a goal. Still, you need your best players to produce if you expect to win a playoff series and Stutzle didn't deliver for his team.

3. Brady Tkachuk, LW, Ottawa Senators (4GP 0G 0A 0PTS +/- -4 )

Brady Tkachuk is the type of player you would expect to thrive in the postseason. His gritty style coupled with his elite talent should be a recipe for playoff success, much like we have seen from his brother Matthew. However, the Senators captain wasn't able to lead his team to a single playoff victory as they were swept by the Hurricanes. This has left his future in Ottawa in doubt as we head into the offseason.

2. Brayden Point, C, Tampa Bay Lightning (7GP 1G 0A 1PTS +/- -1 )

It's been a rough year overall for Brayden Point who had one of the worst seasons of his career and dealt with injuries throughout. We have come to expect him to be amongst the top performing centers in the NHL, especially come playoffs. This makes his performance in the postseason all the more surprising.

1.Alex Tuch, RW, Buffalo Sabres (13GP 4G 3A 7PTS +/- 0)

When compared to everyone else on this list, Alex Tuch's numbers look impressive. He was a major factor in the Sabres first round victory over the Boston Bruins. However, he may have been the least effective player in all of the second-round relative to expectations. He was held pointless in the seven-game series versus Montreal, a series that was high scoring and featured a game six where his team potted eight goals. His line was on the ice for a large amount of the Canadiens goals as well. For a player who is looking to cash in on a new contract, Tuch had a performance he and his agent won't be able to forget this summer.

Who do you think were the biggest playoff busts this spring? Which players ruined your fantasy playoff pools? Let’s hear your rankings in the comments down below.
