Tyler Arnason has 16 points in his last 13 games and 11 points in his last six. He is on fire while the Avs need him to be a top-line guy.

Sami Salo has eight points in his last 10 games.

Darcy Tucker has a nice run of games going – offense and PIM's both. He's worth picking up in roto leagues now. I actually went to do it in the Expert League, clicked "submit" and Yahoo told me that he belonged to another team. It turned out that the Comish picked him up at the same time.

Patrick Marleau missed yesterday's contest with a groin injury. He is day to day.

Dustin Brown was back in the lineup for LA

It is looking as if Ryan Smyth will return within 10 days. He is expected back in practice tomorrow.

Paul Stastny did not get into the lineup yesterday after all. Next game.

Alex Steen and Nik Antropov were both back in the lineup for Toronto yesterday.

Ville Peltonen was back in the lineup for Florida and scored a goal.

Rostislav Olesz should return from his wrist injury within five or six days.

Steve Valiquette has back-to-back shutouts and Tom Renney is considering starting him again Sunday.

Jagr has just one assist in his last eight contests. He's killing me in my one league and I'm sure he's killing lots of people in lots of leagues.

Maxim Afinogenov continues to sit on the sidelines as his groin injury is not improving since he re-aggravated it a few days ago.

Tim Connolly will give things ago tonight, returning to the lineup. He hopes to put off surgery until the offseason. Beware.

Dan Cleary took a shot off the face and suffered a broken jaw that will cause him to miss a couple of weeks at least.

Jiri Hudler was a healthy scratch last night. With one point in eight games, Babcock wanted to show him that his roster spot is not sewn up by any stretch – he needs to produce.

Better late than never. As I had been preaching since November, Cheechoo would start scoring. Eight in seven games, four last night.

Daniel Alfredsson is back. Wondering how he, Spezza and Heatley did last night…I haven't heard.

The Canucks got hammered last night, but don't blame Ryan Shannon. The diminutive winger was a surprise call up and was one of just four players (two were his linemates) who were not minus players in the game. Shannon played 14:16, within almost no power play time. Shannon had not been called up earlier because he had missed much of the season with a knee injury, but during his time with Vancouver (he made the team originally) he was leading them in goals with two in three games when he was sent down. They sent him down because he was the only player on the roster on a two-way contract and the team was losing so something had to be done. Watch Shannon, especially if he gets moved back to a scoring line, where he was to start the year.

Braydon Coburn hurt his ass. I won't go there.

Okay, I suppose you want an explanation. Coburn suffered a "torn buttocks muscle" and will be out for at least two weeks. The injury required surgery. How did it happen? Do we really want to know?
