SIDNEY CROSBY IS BACK IN THE LINEUP TONIGHT. This, according to the Penguins' website . You know the repercussions of this news, I don't have to tell you.

Brian Rafalski (groin) is expected to return to the lineup tomorrow.

Joffrey Lupul (right knee sprain) could be back in the lineup this weekend.

Mike Richards (torn hamstring) is targeting March 15 for a return – but that's best-case scenario.

To replace Carcillo in the lineup, the Coyotes have recalled Enver Lisin.

Michel Ouellet is in another one of his hot little runs. He has five points in his last four games. He only gets his points in bunches.

Eric Fehr finally got back into the groove of things with three points in the 10-2 win last night.

Jeremy Roenick missed last night's contest due to the flu.

Loui Eriksson is on a five game point streak. He has six goals and seven points in that span and is a plus-8. He'll be a regular top six forward next year that should be good for at least 60.

Mike Ribeiro has a badly bruised elbow and is questionable for tomorrow night's contest.

Matt Niskanen (foot) is also questionable for tomorrow.

Marek Svatos is out for the season. His ACL is actually torn from that weekend knee injury and it will require surgery and four to six months to recover – so he's done for the playoffs too.

Ryan Smyth has been diagnosed with a concussion and a separated shoulder. You won't see him in March, but if the stars align properly for him, he may get in a couple of games at the end of the year. You never know with concussions.

Not all the news is bad for the Avs. Peter Forsberg will decide after the morning skate if he will play tonight. I think he will.

Doug Weight was back in the lineup last night. He played with Kunitz and Selanne, but played just 12:24.

Martin Gelinas will also have a torn ACL surgically repaired and will also need four to six months to recover.

The Hawks sent Petri Kontiola to Rockford.

The Oilers recalled Marc-Antoine Pouliot. He has 42 points in 50 AHL contests. He has potential, but hasn't shown it yet. Pouliot ranks 52 on my fantasy prospects list, but is dropping quickly the longer he takes to produce at this level.
