Russ Miller Blogs on a possible future Team Canada roster. It can be found here.

Daniel Alfredsson has a "serious" knee injury and "soreness in the neck" that will keep him out of the first two rounds of the playoffs and probably the third round as well.

Mike Fisher also has a knee injury that will keep him out for a similar length of time. This puts the onus on Stillman, Spezza and Heatley – and also gives Antoine Vermette a chance in the spotlight.

Marc Savard is back skating, but is not practicing with the team yet. My own guess is he is minimum one more week, or perhaps as long as three.

Patrice Bergeron will find out Monday if he can have full contact in practice. If so, he will be back seven days after that, meaning he will miss at least the first three playoff games.

This profanity-laced testimonial that I got today says it all: FIRST YEAR ON YOUR SITE…BOUGHT YOUR FORECAST LAST YEAR AND WAS TOTALLY IMPRESSED….AND THEN BOUGHT ONE OF THE PACKAGES YOU OFFERED THAT INCLUDED THIS PLAYOFF LIST…DUDE…THAT (blank)-IN (blank) IS AWESOME….PARDON MY FRENCH…ARE YOU KIDDING ME…I JUST RAN IT A FEW TIMES…CHANGED SOME TEAMS UP…AND HOLY (blank)…WOW….DUDE…THANX MAN….YOU KNOW YOU GOT MY MONEY COMING IN AS LONG AS YOU RUNNIN THIS (blank)…

Travis Zajac has just two points in his last 19 games.

Kevin Bieksa has found his timing again, and has seven points in his last nine games. He will be a 50-point player next year, don't overlook him.

The Tennessean is reporting that David Legwand is "doubtful" for the first round of the playoffs. The team plays Detroit, so don't count on Legwand for postseason points at all.

Dustin Byfuglien is out for the "season" with a bulging disc in his back. Remember him next year as he will still remain D eligible, yet will play on the wing.

Jonathan Cheechoo (neck) will be back in the lineup tomorrow.

Daniel Briere may not play tomorrow because of a knee injury, but he will be fine for the playoffs.

Vincent Lecavalier will have shoulder surgery and will need about 3.5 months to recover. He will be fine for training camp.

My thoughts on the future of the L.A. Kings

Jagr has six goals and four assists in his last seven games. A little known fact about Jagr's contract is that his $8.36 million option would kick in if he were to win the Conn Smythe Trophy.
