The French version of the Guide has been updated: La version française est maintenant pleinement mise à jour et accessible à tous.

SPECTOR , a recent guest on Dobber Nation , has a few interesting tidbits. First, Michel Ouellet is being shopped, along with of course Jussi Jokinen. He also has a rebuttal for the Globe that I noted below re: Marcus Nilson. The Flames would be "loaning" Nilson to the KHL, which is the difference between he and Radulov. He also digs up an Edmonton Journal note that says a Russian source claims that Radulov will play in the KHL this season, then return to the NHL next season and earn a big extension. The source says it's "all about the money" with Rads.

The Flyers will try Daniel Briere on the right wing with Mike Richards at center and Gagne on the left. That leaves Jeff Carter centering the second line with Joffrey Lupul and Scott Hartnell, although Mike Knuble could be in the mix as well.

The Boston Globe brings up a great point – the NHL insists that Alexander Radulov honor his contract, and all contracts must be honored in their respective leagues. Yet… Calgary is hoping Marcus Nilson can play in the KHL so that he is off their cap. But what of him honoring his NHL contract? Letting him do that would ruin the Radulov talks.

Brian Berard is insisting that his back is fully healthy, and his groin injury has healed. He is interested in trying out for Philly because of their playoff chances. The Flyers are, according to the Globe, above the cap. However, they may stick Derian Hatcher on the long-term injury list. Then Berard would have to beat out Lasse Kukkonen and Ryan Parent to get into the top six. Another thought – perhaps another team will see him play in exhibition and sign him – similar to what Chicago did when Sopel was training with Detroit.

Quick question – in that fantasy guide you have (unless you have mine, of course) – what do they say about the impact of the Robert Lang trade? Dobber's 2008 Fantasy Guide gives you the full scoop, including which Chicago players will benefit, and which Habs will also benefit. Now THAT is up to date. Nothing against the magazines on the newsstands – I did write for two of them (Score Forecaster and THN's Ultimate Guide) – but the bottom line is that I update more frequently and give you more insight on the sleepers.
