A Roto-Look Ahead – Week 8

Back-to-back games are a part of every NHL team's schedule.  Back-to-back games can be an indication of when a back-up goalie is played which could help you grab valuable goalie points.  Most teams have between 11 and 18 back to back games over the course of the whole season. Colorado gets away with only eight times back-to-back and the Blue Jackets have 20 such situations – that is almost half their games.

In the shorter term, looking ahead between November 21 and the Christmas break the Blues have six back-to-back games and the Coyotes and Kings have five.  The Panthers have only one set of back-to-back nights in when they play Edmonton and Calgary on December 11th and 12th.

You may choose to file this one under 'interesting but not sure what is means.' Twenty times during the full season the Wild and Sharks catch a team on the second day of a back to back.  It only happens ten times to the Capital, Flames and Oilers.
