Tyler Bozak, a 22-year-old who was never drafted, tore the meniscus in his knee and will be out until March according to TSN. All 30 NHL teams were reportedly going after this guy, who has 21 points in 18 games for the University of Denver. This injury will keep him out of the headlines, thus making him an easier pickup if you want to take a flyer. Will he be the next Brunnstrom? Or the next Jesse Winchester? Either way, any chance of big NHL numbers would require several years in the NHL first. His injury, by the way, moves 18-year-old NCAA rookie Joe Colborne up the depth charts on Denver. Look for his numbers to increase and his prospect ranking to increase accordingly.

Stephen Weiss has just three points in his last nine games.

Ryane Clowe has just three points in his last nine games and is a minus-5 in that span.

Luca Sbisa was a healthy scratch to make room for Randy Jones yesterday.

With Andy Sutton suffering a broken foot, look for the Islanders to recall Jack Hillen. He has 13 points in 20 AHL games.

Marco Sturm's knee injury will keep him out for a minimum of four weeks. The Bruins have recalled Martin St. Pierre, who is definitely one to watch given his AHL pedigree. This is a high scoring team with all lines chipping in, so there is no reason to think that if St. Pierre can stick around for 12 games, he can't get eight or nine points.

Scott Clemmensen is 9-1-1 in his last 11 games.

The Ducks sent David LeNeveu back to the AHL, indicating that Giguere will return next game.
With 31 points in his last 24 games, Claude Giroux has surged to fifth in AHL scoring.
