The Rangers have picked up Mark Bell from re-entry waivers. Right now, his value would lie in penalty minutes. Seeing as they are already rotating Prucha, Dawes and Voros in and out of the lineup, unless something changes Bell will be a fourth man in that rotation.

A celebration of the greatest forum member in Dobber Nation – see bottom of page…

Oscar Moller has five points in his last three AHL games.

Kyle Turris had seven points in his first three AHL contests, but has since gone four games without a point.

Lecavalier left the last game limping badly. He took a St. Louis shot off the back of the lower leg. The team does not play until Friday, so that is the good news.

It was interesting to see Keenan put Jamie Lundmark with Cammelleri and Iginla for three or four shifts last night. He won't replace Conroy, but just once I would like to see a major prospect become a bust and then later become a decent fantasy asset again. I guess Dan Cleary fits that bill… so I'd like to see a second guy do that.

That name you saw a couple of times in the Boston summaries last night – Byron Bitz? No fantasy value. He's a big, strong fourth-liner who doesn't even fight as often as he probably could.

The Avs eased Stastny back into the lineup, giving him only 24:20 of ice time. Well, okay, that was third most on BOTH teams. He had an assist and played with Stewart and Smyth.

Michael Ryder had two points in his return, playing 13:34 on a line with Krejci and Wheeler.

The line of Dumont (five points in four games), Sullivan (four in four) and Arnott (four in four) are really clicking now, and that has opened things up on the other lines as well. Martin Erat snapped his slump with three points.

Crosby left practice early yesterday with a sore groin. It is expected that he will be in the lineup for the game though.

Jaroslav Halak had a 34-save shutout, putting Price's hold on the No.1 job in jeopardy and making my risk of acquiring Price in the expert league look foolish. However, Price will get his chance to win it back, and probably within a week.

Ryan Getzlaf played on a bad ankle last night, but then left the game late in the third with a facial injury. It is doubtful he will miss time with either injury.

There is a chance that Marin Brodeur will get the start Thursday. We probably won't know until that afternoon.

Nicklas Backstrom is on a seven game points streak and has 17 in his last 12.

Semen Varlamov was back practicing with Hershey, having recovered from his knee injury. He'll probably get a game or two in there before switching with Neuvirth as Theodore's backup. If not, you can see him play live against the Marlies in Toronto on March 7 by joining me at DobberHockey Night in Toronto!
