For details on how to pick up my fourth annual Interactive Playoff Draft List, click here . This list was released Thursday, BUT it will be updated probably BEFORE noon on Sunday. Just $8.95 – which not only is cheaper than other playoff lists you will find online, but there is a possibility that I put together those other lists you have seen out there (I won't say which ones, because of confidentiality agreements).Hey – this is what I do!
In today's Hockey News article , I list some potential playoff pool BUSTS.
The Penguins have recalled Miroslav Satan from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He cleared re-entry waivers. He could be in the lineup today.
TSN is reporting that Johan Franzen has signed an extension with the Red Wings that will run nine or 10 years. Huge for fantasy owners, as we don't know how well he would do on another team. This doesn't bode well for Hossa staying for next year.
The Wild won 8-4, but were still eliminated from the playoffs. Coach Jacques Lemaire is apparently seriously considering retirement. Such a decision will probably help the Wild from a fantasy standpoint – more goals (I know it sounds silly to say that after they score eight, but it's true). But they would lose a lot more games because the team is weak and requires a trap coach. In my books, it's probably time for complete overhaul of the team – GM, coach and players. The latter part will be easy with Marian Gaborik moving on in the summer.
Interesting to see that Gaborik was a minus-2 last night, despite getting two points and his team winning by four goals.
Dan Fritsche suffered a "chest injury" and left the game in the second period. He had two points in just four minutes of ice time.
Defenseman Francois Beauchemin made his long-awaited return to the lineup for Anaheim. He played 15 minutes, but saw no time on the power play.
Dion Phaneuf missed yesterday's contest, apparently nursing an injury. His season has been shaky, so speculation is that he has been nursing this injury for awhile now. Prospect John Negrin took his spot, but was a minus-2.
The Hurricanes have re-assinged Zach Boychuk to Albany of the AHL. He will be the first player called up in the postseason if they need a forward.
Kyle Beach, ranked 240th on my prospects list, has signed to play with Rockford to end the season. Beach is ranked so low because, although he should make the Hawks in 2010-11, it will be four years before you see 60 points or more. With power forwards, you always have to wait. His upside, when he gets there in 2017ish, is in the high 70s.
Detroit's Marian Hossa missed yesterday with a groin injury. Or as I like to call it "rest-for-the-playoffitis". Come to think of it, Phaneuf could be suffering from rest-for-the-playoffitis as well.
The Blues have reassigned Alex Pietrangelo to Peoria of the AHL. He will be the first rearguard recalled if the Blues need a dman in the postseason.
The Preds have played out their schedule and are eliminated from the postseason. Florida is also out. Lots of matchup possibilities, I'll try to break them down for you and if I get one wrong or I miss one – kindly leave it in the comments section below.

Kristian Huselius is questionable for today, but will probably be ready for the playoffs.
Patrice Bergeron will not play today. He is day to day with a foot injury (he took a shot off it). The team recalled Mikko Lehtinen, who is ranked 155 on my prospects list.
David Backes leads all St. Louis scorers since the trade deadline with 20 points in 17 games. Boyes is next with 18, followed by Oshie (16) and McDonald (15).
According to the Morning Skate blog, here are the top three teams in terms of win percentage since Game No. 42:
1. St. Louis 0.679
2. New Jersey (0.654)
3. Pittsburgh (0.654)
VERY interesting…perhaps the Blues should be considered a strong sleeper in your playoff pool.
