Jeff Carter is IN tonight – Ville Leino will sit.

Is there a team with better prospects in net than Florida? They just signed NCAA star Marc Cheverie to an entry-level contract. Cheverie led the NCAA in wins (24), save percentage (.937), and shutouts (six).

Kyle Turris has had a very solid season in the AHL – I wouldn’t at all be surprised to see him step in next year and put up 60 points. He still needs to add some strength, though. Perhaps the fitness guru known as Gary Roberts can lend a hand?

I’m surprised the NHL hasn’t been marketing the Rocket Richard race more. Their new ‘History Will Be Made’ advertisments are great, but a three-horse race featuring Ovechkin, Crosby, and Stamkos? I for one and extremely interested in seeing what happens during these final two games.

Dobber's Interactive 2010 Playoff Draft List is now out – this was the first thing I ever bought from Dobber, back in 2005 or 2006, I can't really remember. Essentially it ranks players for you depending on who you see reaching the cup finals. Very easy to use and cuts out a lot of the grunt work. You check off the boxes of the teams you feel will come out of the first rounds and who will meet in the Final. Click “GO” and this MS Excel spreadsheet will auto-sort for you, ready to print, your draft list. It also includes updated injury news, playoff studs and duds, as well as Dobber’s own draft list for you to refer to. This is all you’ll need to win your playoff pool!

Kirill Kabonov left Moncton a few weeks ago after feuding with the coach and teammates. He has now also left the Russian U-18 team. The Russian coach referred to Kabanov as immature and selfish. I wonder how this will affect his draft stock?

We have managed to lock down some seriously awesome prizes for the Playoff Challenge. An Easton S17 composite stick, a jersey (winner chooses team and player), and a copy of DobberHockey's Ultimate Fantasy Pack. The best part? You can enter up to three times per e-mail address. Time to make those picks! Check out yesterday's article for all of the information you need with regards to the Playoff Challenge.

The Thrashers have shut down Pavel Kubina and Nik Antropov for the rest of the regular season. Kubina was right around his usual 40-point mark this season (38), while Antropov scored 24 goals and set a career high in points with 67. I see Antropov being a consistent 60-70 point guy in Atlanta for the next few years.

Pierre Lebrun expects the NHL Entry Draft to be a very busy one. His exact words were to expect a "doozy have a trade-fest." Nice! The only thing Gary Bettman has ever said to cheers is "I have a trade to announce…"

Sabres prospect Tyler Ennis was recently named AHL Rookie of the Year. He led rookie scorers with 23 goals and 65 points. Ennis has eight points in seven games with the Sabres since being recalled, and I'd expect him to make the big club in some sort of offensive role next season.

Hey Oiler fans, looking for something to do? Why not run a few draft lottery simulations? I ran it three times, and the Bruins won twice…

Check out a few awesome (and free) playoff pools put on by some DobberHockey members. Sleeman and HockeyisLife are both running pools. There are prizes as well!

As a Tomas Vokoun owner, all I can say is THANKS A LOT to the Panthers for continuing to start Scott Clemmensen down the stretch. Clemmensen was great last night, stopping over 40 shots in the win.

Both Mike Modano and Jere Lehtinen played what could be their final home games last night in Dallas. Instead of posting all the videos, I'll link to a thread over on the Hockey's Future message boards – some great clips of last night featuring these two.

Eric Staal has nine points in his past two games. He had a hat trick last night on free hat giveaway night – it was quite the site to see.

Erik Karlsson played over ten minutes last night… on the power play. Wow!

Drew Doughty with an absolute beauty last night:

Meszaros hit in the throat with the puck – scary incident, but he was able to return to the game:

You know those new NHL 'History Will Be Made' Commercials? Here is an awesome spoof featuring Pierre McGuire:

Keith Ballard's true colors come out:

This one is awesome – the Oilers were so fun to watch in 2006:

Chris Neil and Mike Smith drop the gloves and blockers last night in an interesting scrap:
