The 2011-12 Guide is now out, and will be updated on a regular basis right into October. We'd always appreciate feedback. If you have questions or concerns, fire us an email at admin @ dobberhockey.com
Some cool trick shot attempts from the NHL R & D camp that was held this past week in Toronto.
Travis Zajac is out for three months with an Achilles tendon injury. He's been incredibly healthy during his NHL career, but this freak injury creates a huge hole for the Devils up front.
Their natural centers on the roster are Jacob Josefson and David Steckel. Patrik Elias will likely move back to center, and Danius Zubrus can play the position as well. I'd speculate that Elias will move back temporarily if the Devils don't bring in a replacement. Potential line combos:
Parise-Josefson-Tedenby
Kovalchuk-Elias-Palmieri
Mikkel Boedker signed a two-year deal with the Coyotes yesterday – one-way deal with a cap hit just north of $1 million per season. He was playing great hockey near the end of the season, earning the trust of coach Dave Tippett.

Bill Meltzer breaks down some interesting Swedish prospects all from the same team – I've shared my thoughts on Jarnkrok on here before. Silfverberg is an interesting prospect, especially considering Ottawa's youth movement that is going on. Ekholm may have the inside edge over Ellis and Josi in Nashville for the final defensive spot because of his experience playing in a professional league (Josi did play three years in Switzerland at the professional level, but the SEL is a much, much better league).

DobberHockey pal Mike Colligan was on the radio in Calgary the other day to chat about the Penguins and the Crosby injury progress. Listen to the interview here.
The Defending Big D blog is arguably the best site on the net for Dallas Stars news and information. Listen to this podcast – the team previews Dallas for 2011-12. Some great insights for those of us who don't get to read a lot about the Stars (I paid particular attention as I own a few Stars in my keeper league).
Copper & Blue has done their homework once again – an in-depth and comprehensive read on the current NHL GM group and why the old boy's club mentality may not be the best way to go.
I chatted with the Fear the Fin crew yesterday regarding San Jose and the fantasy relevance of some of their players for 2011-12, including Demers, Braun, Havlat, Burns, Couture, and Niemi.
I remember this game so well. Lost in the madness of Ovechkin and Crosby hat tricks was the stellar play of both goalies – Fleury in particular stopped another three or four sure goals.
