Jarome Iginla Signs with Colorado

Fantasy Impact: The Colorado Avalanche have signed Jarome Iginla to a three-year deal worth $16 million.
The Avalanche get: a veteran leader and one of the best out there. And Iginla has scored at least 30 goals in each of his last 12 non-lockout NHL seasons. The Avs are one of the youngest teams in the league and they made the playoffs last year. If they do that again this season, Iginla will be a huge factor.
Fantasy Players Impacted: Between this signing and Alex Tanguay returning from injury, Jamie McGinn gets pushed out of the top six. Daniel Briere may have seen spot starts in the top six, but the odds of that happening now are getting slimmer.
Iginla himself find a great place to go – on Nathan McKinnon’s wing. That’s an upgrade.
