Top Budget Plays
Centers
Riley Sheahan $4,000 – The Red Wings are currently the best road possession team in the league, and although the Leafs had a bounce back game Thursday against the visiting Predators, can we really trust them to put together another good performance? Sheahan has two goals and two assists in his last three games, and is slotted on the second line and second power-play unit for the Wings between Justin Abdelkader and Tomas Tatar. If the Leafs do their best to shut down the Zetterberg line, this should give Sheahan's line a little more room to operate. Roll with Sheahan freely at this price.
Wingers
Tom Wilson $2,500 – Wilson enters Saturday's games at the lowest possible price point at just $2,500. He also has the enviable position of being the third wheel on Washington's top line along with Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom.Wilson skated over 16 minutes at even strength with the pair on Thursday in Colorado. The only drawback for him is that he does not get time on the power-play, but this matchup and line position are too good to ignore.
Defensemen
John Klingberg $3,900 – I have to give him some support here even though it's a matchup against the LA Kings. Los Angeles has not been great on the road this season (1-7) and Klingberg has seen his production shoot up the last few games since he's been given more ice time. The 22-year-old Swede has averaged over 24 minutes in his last four games. He's also had a goal and three assists giving you no less than 4.5 FP in his last three nights. What I like best about him and what will help accumulate points is that this guy is willing to shoot the puck. He had a goal on Thursday and directed the shots at the net that Tyler Seguin put home on Tuesday. He's becoming the most valuable Stars' blue-liner to own.
