Welcome back to another edition of Lining Up. This week will examine a few continuing hot streaks as well as new or returning faces to respective teams. With fantasy playoffs around the corner, it is worth examining the schedule closely and start thinking about who you want on your roster down the stretch.

Let's dive in.

Josh Anderson – Nick Suzuki – Cole Caufield

Two weeks ago, Caufield was examined as having a renaissance under new coach Martin St. Louis. Since that time, his linemates have also been performing well. The trio have been very solid with six GF and only 3 against since the coaching change and are driving the play with a CF% of 51. Caufield was highlighted recently but it is worth mentioning that since that time he has not slowed down at all with 12 points in his last eight games and still only 51% rostered in Yahoo leagues.

Anderson has been a bit more hot and cold than his linemates, last week he scored a hat trick before going pointless in the next two. Prior to that, he had a three-point night with two goals, one assist and also followed that up with donuts in his next two. The upside of Anderson though is even when he is not on the scoreboard, he can really contribute the peripherals. On the season he has over two shots and two hits per game as well as averaging one penalty minute a game as well.

Suzuki on the other hand is also on tear with the coaching change, having put up 12 points in his last seven games. Prior to that, Suzuki had 28 points in his first 48 games which was far below what owners were expecting and unfortunately right in line with much of the production coming out of MTL. It is safe to say that the whole line at this point has been revitalized under St. Louis. This week MTL will play VAN, SEA and PHI. All potentially high scoring affairs where each of the players could capitalize.

Tyler Toffoli

CGY made a savvy move a few weeks ago by acquiring a solid depth scorer in Toffoli. On the season he has been producing well with 14 goals and 34 points for a pace of 61 points overall. In addition. Toffoli has been contributing some decent peripherals with over two and a half shots and over one hit per game. Since joining CGY however, Toffoli has found himself receiving some interesting deployment. He has been predominantly playing on the third line with Milan Lucic and Sean Monahan which is certainly not what many fantasy managers might have been hoping for. On the other hand, Toffoli has somehow found his way onto the top power-play unit, seeing a 58% share. He is also on a hot streak with this encouraging deployment, having collected six points in his last four games.

At only 61% rostered in Yahoo leagues, he is an excellent pick up this week as CGY will barely have any time to breathe playing four more times after Monday night this week. Get him into your lineup.

Josh Norris

Fresh from an injury that his kept him out of the lineup since late January, Norris returned and immediately resumed lining up beside Brady Tkachuk as well as his spot on the top power-play unit. This is welcome news for the Senators as Brady, Norris and Drake Batherson were dominant in a significant amount of time together, scoring 23 GF and 13 against on the season. Batherson is still out but hopefully Norris and Tkachuk can replicate a portion of what the trio were doing.

Norris has certainly surpassed expectations this year having collected 19 goals and 27 points in 39 games so far. Much like Toffoli, Norris has some solid peripheral contributions as well with just over two and a half shots, over one hit and nearly one block per game on the season. The blocks in particular are a very welcome addition from a forward as he is only one of a dozen or so forwards to be blocking at this rate. In the three games since he has been back, Norris already has one assist on the power-play and as already mentioned he has slotted right back into his normal role. With three games for OTT still to be played this week, consider picking him up if you are in need as he is only 41% rostered in Yahoo leagues.

Nicholas Robertson

The young prospect was recently called up to the big leagues which happens often and is not normally big news. However, Robertson has somehow found himself lining up beside none other than John Tavares and William Nylander. With such plumb deployment and with three more games remaining this week for TOR against SEA, ARI and BUF he is certainly worth a short-term add to your roster as the high-powered Leafs offense is likely to pay major dividends. The other side to this coin is that Alexander Kerfoot has been demoted, so if you have been temporarily hanging onto him it may no longer be worth doing so.
