Happy Tuesday y'all!

With training camps underway, we have seen a lot of line combinations thrown out on the rink to spark some players in new places. Today, we will finish up our division previews and focus on the Pacific Division today.

Anaheim Ducks: Anaheim was put into a bind during the offseason with the Leo Carlsson offer sheet and subsequently having to re-sign Cutter Gauthier to a higher term deal because of it. With those two forwards locked in, the Ducks have to find some players on entry-level contracts and hope for some of their current veterans to step up and contribute. Two players I am eyeing as late sleepers are Nikita Klepov and Frank Vatrano. Klepov has been lined up with Carlsson and Gauthier for most of the training camp and during the team's first preseason game. The winger's original plan was to attend Michigan State this season, but he admitted that the Ducks are giving him every opportunity to earn a full time spot with the club and his skill is speaking for itself. Vatrano is a banger league stud when given the minutes, but he fell out of favor with the coaching staff around December. The winger is already locked in for two more years, so expect Anaheim to give him another opportunity in the lineup.

Calgary Flames: There is not much to write home about for the Flames in terms of fantasy production except for the fact that you can draft players that will receive top line/first power-play minutes in the last few rounds. Two potential skaters that will see lots of opportunities are Matt Coronato and Zayne Parekh.

Edmonton Oilers: Mike Babcock has started his tenure with the Oilers by putting the two big boys, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, together. They are both top 5 picks in redraft leagues so finding the third piece to that line is absolute gold; currently, Vasily Podkolzin drew the lucky stick. The physical winger is a must-own in banger leagues because of the high volume of hits he throws, but if you throw in the potential for points, he is a great late round value. Only 25 years old, Podkolzin is coming off a career year offensively and will have an opportunity to create new highs again if he sticks with Edmonton's two superstars.

Los Angeles Kings: We have seen a mix of lines for the Kings throughout training camp, but one duo that has stuck together has been Adrian Kempe and Artemi Panarin. Whether it has been Kempe at center, or both forwards on the wing, a third skater has rotated with the pair for the last few days. Quinton Byfield has been their centre for a few practices, a good indication that this is what they will start with. 

San Jose Sharks: With the development of Macklin Celebrini, the Sharks are speeding up their rebuild and spent money on free agents in July. General Manager Mike Grier brought in Mason Marchment to add some jam to the forward group. Marchment opened camp on that top line with Celebrini and Will Smith. If the chemistry is there, he'll be a great addition to fantasy lineups as this situation reminds me of prime Scotty Hartnell. Another name to keep tabs on is Luca Cagnoni, who has been given the role of quarterback on San Jose's number one powerplay. You could use a late round pick on the defender or just monitor the situation to see if he sticks, but whoever holds that position deserves to be rostered.

Seattle Kraken: The Kraken are not a very fun team for fantasy because they are all middle of the pack players. If you wanted to own one Seattle player, the consensus would be Jared McCann. The former first round selection has five straight seasons with at least 20 goals and is entering his age-30 season as an upcoming unrestricted free agent. If he can stay healthy, the winger should approach the 30-goal mark.

Vancouver Canucks: The perception of the Canucks is at an all time low, but that means we can find some good value for our squads. Jake DeBrusk had 19 powerplay goals and over 200 SOGs and currently has an ADP of 173. That many tallies will be hard to replicate, but his role and the opportunity are the same. An even better value coming out of Vancouver is Zeev Buium at pick 251. I like to follow the money for fantasy picks, and the Canucks believe in the young defenseman's future and paid the man during the offseason. He will be given every offensive opportunity to shine in what could be a bleak season for Vancouver.

Vegas Golden Knights: The Golden Knights had to deal their back-to-back leading goal scorer, Pavel Dorofeyev, this offseason because of the cap. This has provided fantasyland with some sleepers in Braeden Bowman and Victor Olofsson. Bowman performed at nearly a point-per-game basis in November/early December last year when injuries struck Vegas' top six. Olofsson likes to shoot the puck and is a goal scorer so there is potential for him to replace Dorofeyev's production. Funny enough, Dorofeyev is the one who overtook Olofsson when he signed there the first time.

The departure of Dorofeyev also leaves a hole on the top power-play unit, which looks to be given back to Shea Theodore. The defenseman does not offer much upside in any peripheral categories, but even with injuries, Theodore has produced at least 15 powerplay points in four of his last seven seasons. As long as he remains that top option, he is a viable defenseman.
