Rambling about Versteeg, Desharnais, Condon, Ullmark, a couple of hot AHL prospects and more... *** Another reason to love Tampa Bay – if their key guys start blowing it, they have such amazing depth that they can just create other key guys. Triplets aren’t scoring? Well, how about Vladislav Namestnikov. Ben Bishop not inspiring? Well [...]
Rambling about Jimmy Hayes, Ward, Larkin, Trocheck, Zucker, Toffoli, Getzlaf, Jagr and more... *** The Boston – Arizona game was a tale of two market corrections. Giving up all six goals, Mike Smith’s numbers are now in line with where we’d expect them at season’s end. A .500 record (4-3-1 is .500 in my books) [...]
Rambling about Dubnyk, Perreault, Gaudreau, Pouliot, Weise, Chris Stewart and a whole lot more... *** Devan Dubnyk isn’t off to the greatest start. Rambling about Gagner, Larkin, Stralman, Stamkos, Crosby, Parayko and tons more... *** Sam Gagner finally got into the lineup and picked up an assist and was the third star. His PP time was secondary, but I’m still optimistic on his having a career year. Even without Claude Giroux on his line, I think a [...]

Rambling about Robin Lehner, Robby Fabbri, Dylan Larkin, Francois Beauchemin, Patrick Sharp and more ... *** Robin Lehner is indeed out for two months with a high ankle sprain. I agree with Ian yesterday that the team may look for a starting goalie, given that this happened right off the hop. I also agree that [...]
