With the holiday break over, there was a sleigh-load of lineup information to get to. Let’s not waste time. * The Nashville Predators got significant reinforcements back in the lineup as both Viktor Arvidsson and PK Subban returned for the team. The former has played one game since Halloween while the latter has been [...]
The NHL Christmas break has come and gone with Boxing Day in the rear-view mirror but there still isn’t much to talk about hockey-wise. We did get the start of the World Junior tournament so we can begin these Ramblings by talking about that. I should be clear that I’m not a “prospects guy” [...]
Happy holidays to all the Dobber readers out there, their family and friends. It’s been quite a year here at Dobber Hockey, with everything from site re-designs, brand new Dobber Tools, the craziness of last year’s playoffs, and a whole lot more. I’d like to think it’s been a successful year for everyone here [...]
The new Panthers second line of Henrik Borgstrom, Frank Vatrano, and Evgenii Dadonov has looked very solid in their limited time together. Now, I’m of the mind that Dadonov is good enough that he can drive the play for an entire line, so almost any line with Dadonov is going to look good. But [...]
The big news from Monday, at least from a fantasy perspective, was the decision made by Philadelphia to have Carter Hart called up. Anthony Stolarz was put on the injured reserve in response to this. Hart, a second round pick in 2016, had a .901 save percentage in 17 games this season in the [...]
Just over a month after fracturing his foot, Andrei Vasilevskiy returned to game action on Thursday night at home to the Leafs. Those that rostered Louis Domingue, as I’ve stated earlier, should hold on to him for the time being. The chance for re-injury is always present and my hope is they back off [...]
The Stars have broken up their lines, moving Jamie Benn to the second line with Martin Hanzal. That’s not a huge surprise. The surprising news here is they broke up their power play and moved Benn to the second unit. The team is apparently going to go with split, and equal, power play units. [...]
The Caps are starting to get healthy as the had TJ Oshie return to a full practice on Monday morning. He skated on the top line with Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom. This comes just a few games after the Capitals saw Evgeny Kuznetsov make his return. It’s been so long since we’ve seen [...]
The Red Wings announced that Danny DeKeyser would be out 4-6 weeks with a hand injury. I’m not sure how many people have him rostered but it is a good time to point out (as someone else did) that Filip Hronek has 14 points in his last 10 games in Grand Rapids. Would be [...]
The signing of William Nylander meant that someone currently with the Leafs was either going to be traded or put on waivers. It ended up being the former as Josh Leivo was traded to Vancouver for Michael Carcone. Carcone has 62 points in 149 career AHL games, but does have 17 in 20 this [...]
