I admit I might have a problem.  I spend an awful lot of time on fantasy hockey pools. This year I am in five hockey pools, four of which are keepers. When does it cross the line from innocent hobby to outright obsession? I’ve come up with some telltale signs that might indicate if you too are a hockey pool junkie:

Cam Ward

I like to think of my fantasy hockey drafts as if they were final exams.  In order to do well on a final exam, you need to study and do your homework.  Cramming is what the pre-season is all about.  There is a ton of information to glean from training camp news.  Here are some of the things I look for during the pre-season action.

My Dream Vacation

June 9, 2007; Anaheim Ducks Teemu Selanne talks to the fans during the Anaheim Ducks Stanley Cup rally and celebration at the Honda Center.

Inspired by my latest holiday.

It’s late July and I’m enjoying a nice cruise on the Baltic Sea.  As usual, my mind begins to wander, but my thoughts never stray too far from hockey.

I started thinking about how different the trip might have been if I was there as a hockey reporter/writer as opposed to just being a tourist.
