Top 100 Roto Rankings: December 2019
Ian Gooding
2019-12-15
There are some significant risers and fallers in the December edition of the Roto Rankings.
Mikko Rantanen returns to the top 20 after a month-long injury, while Shea Weber forces his way into the top 50 with his strongest play as a member of the Habs. Connor Hellebuyck and Jordan Binnington show the highest gains among netminders, as Hellebuyck outplays his draft-day value and Binnington continues to establish himself.
Two players in new homes plummet down the rankings. Phil Kessel's struggles in defense-first Arizona push him well down the rankings, while Tyson Barrie's inability to score in Toronto lands him outside the top 100.
Keep in mind that these are single-season rankings for a head-to-head or rotisserie league using the following settings: G, A, +/-, PPP, SOG, HIT, W, GAA, SV%. In other words, this list is focused on the 2019-20 season, but not beyond. This list could also be used by keeper owners with a "win now" mentality.
Is John Carlson really a top-5 fantasy option? Does Brent Burns still deserve a spot in the top 20? These rankings are a work in progress, so please feel free to leave feedback below. I will take comments into consideration for the following month's rankings. I may also explain certain ranking decisions in upcoming Ramblings.
